Natural Healing Post tx

I'm curious if anyone has tried natural healing for post tx. If so,  what did you try? What worked or didn't work for you?
I'm on an anti inflammatory diet, I'm reducing/eliminating toxins from my foods and home. I'm using supplements. I've had to decrease while on tx. Per my Pharmacist I can start using essential oils and supplements to cleanse my liver in 4 more days.  I would love to hear what others have tried.  I don't have any liver damage  (I've used Liver cleanse) prior to diagnosis. I do have a Gallbladder full of stones (due to being inactive) since being sick. My Iron is low but is increasing, 2 points in the last month. I'm not feeling extremely fatigued compared to how I was prior to my diagnosis and during some of my tx. I'm just weak from being sick so long before I got a diagnosis. I was bedridden from 2012-2014..I research a lot, the virus turned my body upside-down. I actually have multiple auto immune disorders. I believe that these are secondary to the Hep C virus and I hope that they can be reversed. I have tested negative for Lupus (YEAH) since February,  I've been off Plaquenil since May and recent lab's still shows negative. I had a "confirmed diagnosis", I've also been diagnosed with R.A., Hyperhidrosis,(I'm still on meds for that) Chronic fatigue (so severe that I was approved for Disability in 2009 for Fatigue), Has anyone had secondary Issues/diagnosis that has gotten better/reversed themselves after tx?  Thanks,  I'm 57 years old and determined to be the best I can post tx!

Thanks Kim,
I just found a link on hepatitis central about Complimentary /Alternative Medicine. It was geared towards people who aren't getting tx..But post tx I'm going to check it out! I'm very cautious about using supplements, I add or subtract one thing at a time and normally get 2 lab's and monitor my symptoms very close. As with anything natural products can be toxic. I'm on The Wahls Protocol anti inflammatory diet,  it has helped me tremendously with my R.A. symptoms, I do modify the diet  (no liver, etc.) But it is helping. .I'm going to do a cleanse next week to see if that helps to remove the Riba toxicity. Thanks for sharing with me,  it's great to hear some positive feedback. .

Hi Peaches.   I just finished reading your other thread which indicated that you just finished treatment. (Tx).  Congragulations!!!  As a geno 2 and non cirrhotic I have no doubt that the RIBA/Solv did the trick.  I'm also same genotypes with same Tx.
I did want to mention that the Riba can stay in your system for up to 6 months so if your still not feeling back to normal give it some time. When I ended Tx it took about 3 months till my energy returned along with some normalcy.
Since you don't have Cirrhosis you are given full reign with supplements without restrictions.  In my life I feel that healthy eating and exercise are key to regain post Tx health.  I find my personal strength thru the foods rather then supplements but do partake in a few that I feel are needed additions.  These would include milk thistle, calcium, vitamin d, and probiotics.  I'm sure others will give you their thoughts and ideas.
I wish I could tell you that with the elimination of Hep C that the auto immune issues would disappear but in my case the haven't.   Cleared the virus over a year ago and still somewhat plagued with RA.
You have a wonderful outlook and I have no doubt that you will see a dramatic change in your life.  Being Hep C negative is such a freeing experience and will change your life both physically and emotionally.  Keep up the healthy lifestyle and perhaps you may see a reduction in your immune issues.  You've made a wise move to get treated and you will find only good things will follow.
My best to you
......Kim
