I am very sorry to have to say that HectorSF died last week.  Emily announced it on the Cirrhosis and HCV forum He was a wonderful knowledgeable man, helping not just us but other forums as well.  He was a community leader in the Cirrhosis Forum.He volunteered in hospitals helping those with end stage liver disease..  I have been so shocked, Many knew him from his help on the HCV forum.  I will never forget him.  He was my hero, I'm so glad I told him how much we all appreciated him.  I remember how touched he was by all of our comments when he got his transplant over 2 years ago.

Yes this is so sad.  He contributed so much.  He had an genus way of writing.   So kind, knowledgable and the ability to reach everyone in a loving writing style.   What a unique human being who deserved a gold metal for his contribution.   If his memorial is public....I would like to attend.   But honestly, doubt there will be room with the massive amount of people who will honor this exceptional man.

It was a privilege to attend Hector's memorial yesterday, meet his sister, and some MedHelp members as well. I'm attaching links here to a tribute to him that went out to all the Community Leaders earlier this month, as some members were interested.

I am shocked and dismayed. HectorSF was the best! The Medhelp hep-c forum wouldn't have been the same without him. He helped me and many, many others. God bless him and may he rest in peace.
