Hi to all! my hubby relapse from harvoni 12 weeks tx and now under daklinza, sovaldi, riba for 24 weeks. 2 out of his 3 dr suggest no need riba, but he followed the one who said better with riba, but after like 10 weeks he is forced to stop riba due to side effect that drops his platelets. now only daklinza and sovaldi, he is ok than the time with riba, but most of the time weak and tired, cant sleep good, he's staying in the house due to the side effects, now he is telling , me he might not continue 24 weeks if the life is just getting worse he will terminate it to 12-16 weeks only instead of 24 weeks. He's 8 weeks bloodtest already showed of undetected viral load. Do you think its a good idea to terminate earlier than prescribed? does anyone here on the same combo tx? i read some people who only treated for 12 weeks and got cured.

Hi Marso,
My father had relapsed after 12 weeks of Sofosbuvir+Daclatasvir (he has genotype 1, fibroscan 4 (close to final stage)). We are awaiting his doctor's suggestion as to what to do. I think she will say to take 24 weeks of Harvoni, maybe also Ribavirin. From what I have read it seems like Ribavirin produces quite strong side effects, not as bad as Interferon did previously but still. Perhaps your husband should do Harvoni for 24 weeks to make sure he does not relapse?

Hi michniak, my hubby discontinue the treatment, 2 tabs left for 12 weeks tx, the side effects were unbearable already, heavy breathing, stomach issues, sleepless night, weak and fatigue all the time.

So sorry for what had happen to your mom!
Does he used sovaldi alone or with other meds?
Thanks God my hubby now is getting better since he stop the rivabirin, we will get him to labtest and hoping to get a good result as well. even he can finish atleast 12 weeks of the treatment.

Thank you for acknowledging that.  My Mom was one of the first to take these newest drugs, so when she got sick, there wasn't alot of back up for me... now so many more people are getting sick.  

Marso, please keep us updated how your hubby is doing.

I swear these drugs kill more than they save.  They ruin more lives than they improve.  Hard truth, but truth.

My Mom was on Solvadi and had low platelets and died... I only wish we could go back and stop the medicine.  Stop the damn medicine.
