12 weeks not und

So I got some news today, not sure if it's good or bad. My 8 week labs came back viral count 235. So the trial wants to take me off peg and switch me to the p 707?? (trial drug) . Anyone have a similar experience you can share with me, or anyone els taking this new med.? They say if I'm not und by this time the likelihood of SVR is low. :(

Sorry, I see from the title it's based on wk 12.
According the way my tx team talked, you will clear this! And you will feel much better while doing it!

The decision is based on Wk 8 labs or wk 12 labs? You mentioned both.
I'm in this trial so I'm very interested in following you.
Looks like two threads are going....
I'm asking the same question again, why are they rolling you over?
I'll be interested to follow how you do and wish you luck. It should work out very well!

As you can see above it has had great results on genotype 3, there are a few on the forum taking GS 7977 hopefully some of them will chime in with their personal expirience

Yes, that is the one. I've already been on peg for 12 weeks now they tell me I will take 7977 for 12 weeks.

The drug used to be called PSI 7977 but pharmasset (thanks Id) was bought out by gilead and the name changed to GS 7977, if in fact this is the drug you are talking about it has had great success with genotype 3

An all-oral dual regimen containing Pharmasset's hepatitis C virus (HCV) polymerase inhibitor PSI-7977 plus ribavirin produced 100% sustained response at 12 weeks in previously untreated people with HCV genotypes 2 or 3, according to findings from the ELECTRON study reported at the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases Liver Meeting (AASLD 2011) this week in San Francisco.

Pharmasset Announces Final SVR Data from PROTON trial with PSI-7977 in Subjects Infected with Hepatitis C Infection Genotype 2 or 3
-- 24 out of 24 subjects with HCV genotype 2 or 3 achieved an SVR after 12 weeks of treatment with PSI-7977 400mg QD and pegylated interferon and ribavirin

Hey cool. Pretty good detective work there.  :)

I struck out at Pharmacet (which turned out to be Pharmasset).

I think she means GS 7977, is this the trial you are in ? In an old post she refers to a trial by pharmasett

What is the P 707?  Were you ever UND?
I only glossed through your posts but it looks like you are a Geno 3 & taking the Peg & Riba. What is the name of your trial? I am not familiar with how trials work or how they are structured so I am not sure what to say. Sorry the trial people do not sound very encouraging.
