2b

Here's the definitive answer from the Germans who recently did the studies on Genotype 2b & stopping treatment prior to 24 weeks. Eight more, hu Chev?
Steve

"Dear Mr Ellis,

thank you for your interest in HepNet.
As you have genotype 2b your chances of becoming negative are very good.
Yet i cannot recommend to stop treatment earlier than planned.
In the medical school hanover we are currently running a studie in which patients with genotype 2 or 3 are treated for at least 16 weeks with pegylated interferon and ribavirin. The results seem to be promising, but we
have not yet ended the study and evaluated the results.
Hence a shorter duration of treatment can not be recommended.
As you seem to have responded well to the therapy it is the more important to continue. A RNA level lower 600 does not necessarily mean the virus is eradicated, but it means the test cannot find it.
The most common side effects, like flu symptoms, can be treated with paracetamol."

exactly the words I was searching for, short and sweet: F..O

while on that subject, I want to find out if there is a company that makes customized car horns.  I am particularly interested in one that when pressed sounds like: F..O! or  SOB(not meaning short of breath) or, if that would get me a ticket, something innocuous but with expressive electronic utterances, like MORON and idiot. Let me know if I can shop for it online... THIS is the mission! RIBA RULES,,,hey THAT could be the horn sound...

Amazon.com has a paperback book on Eva.  I bought it for a friend of mine who said she would let me read it when she got done with it.  She hasn't given it to me yet, but I flipped through it before I gave it to my friend, and there are some beautiful photos of Eva in the book.  I have ALL her CD's.  Such a tragic waste of talent that she is no longer with us.

I so glad you like Eva. You must be over 40 to even have the capacity to enjoy really good music, as it was meant to be. I'm gonna be 65 this month. Eva was featured on a Nightline segment, ABC, and a video of that segment is available from ABC web site. It's so moving and inspirational.

Impatience is my worst side of TX. I get upset when there are cars on the road at the same time as mine, even if they don't do anything wrong! Like, "Where do all these people think their going anyway?"
