This is a good question. I don't have any input, but a good question. My gosh, your so young....how did you find out you had Hep C?. You have your whole life in front of you, don't risk getting it again.

Just make sure you dont have any blood-to-blood contact, in the boxing ring...if you do decide to box, so you dont get it again. Is Hep C testing mandatory, with contact sports, these days?

Even if you attain SVR, you will always test positive for the antibodies (because you were exposed to the virus). You just won't have the active disease. (If you get a Hep A or Hep B vaccine, you will always test positive for those antibodies too but you will not have Hep A or Hep B.)

I don't know about the contact sports for sure, but if you attain SVR, you are considered cured (with no virus left in you). Therefore, if you have no virus, you cannot pass it to anyone. Someone else may know more about contact sports.
