6 months post test still clear!!

I haven't posted for a while but wanted to let everyone know that I received my 6-month test results and I am still clear. I guess this means I don't have it in my blood anymore but with all the new studies....who knows it might be hiding somewhere.

My hair is growing in and I feel almost 100% back to normal. My memory is much better than pre treatment; it seems as if the brain fog is gone.

I was Type 3a with viral load fluctuating between 3 to 19 million. I  cleared at 4 weeks and have remained clear since.

It does work....I still am kind of shocked.

Best to everyone.
Ella

That is it, Ella! You are IT! SVR! Cured as Dr. Cecil would say.

Pepman, my skin has always been very dry and gets worse in the winter.  Hot water is very drying. I was told by the dermatologist to pat dry and apply a urea/lactic acid based lotion immediately.  It has been my salvation for years. It should be at least 10% urea and 12% lactic acid.  U-lactin is very good.  I also used the tar shampoo, it is the only thing that worked on my scalp.

Wow Ella-19 million vl and good to go at 6 months-helluvadeal!
I'm truly thrilled for you-You done real good-live the life! frank

Pepman-moisturize as much as possible. I used Allmay moisturizer on my face and vaseline for riba rash on forearms. Hot baths are not good for very dry skin-go with warm and moisturize immediately following to retain moisture. Hopefully some will add more suggestions as this is a common problem with tx. I believe something like head&shoulders shampoo works better for dandruff and dry scalp.
good luck-frank

Good work, Ella, and all whose faith and perseverance is getting them free of this disease. I wish I had found this site earlier in my treatment. Have many of you had much bother with psoriasis? I got major dandruff which has mostly cleared up with
tar shampoo and betamethasone lotion. I also have psoriasis on my knees and elbows and some quarter-sized splotches all in a horizontal line across my abdomen, just above the site where I inject the peginterferon. Hopefully, this will clear up after treatment.
