63 - clumped platlets

I am 2 months post EOT and the last pcr indicated undetectable just like they all have since week 4. My lab results look like they are moving towards being in range with ALT 81 and AST 61 which is lower than it was while I was on treatment. The one value that concerns me is the platelets which is at 63 - due to clumped platelets. This value is higher than I have had during treatment, but does anyone know of a test that would be able to better quantify my platelet counts? I wonder if I should try to get seen by a blood specialist, I forget what they're called. thanks, Tom

My platelets always clump.Make sure you tell the Lab Tech before your draw.If they count them right away they can do it before they clump.this is what I have been told.Clumped platelets isn't bad or good as far as I know, just simply that they clump.

My Platelets didn't go back to within "normal range" until my 6 month post tx labs.  Pay special attention to a health diet.

Hi when my platelets were clumping and odd sizes with a count of 60K I was sent to a hematologist (blood specialst)
He was able to take a look at my platelets while in his office.
I hope this helps.
Also when I was recovering from tx it took a while for my numbers to normalize
Best wishes.
