Do you have a Neu # on your labs? That is the ANC level
Or you can calculate with the WBC and Neu%
it would be nice if there was a ANC calculator on site. you can google anc caculator and enter your cbc results for neutrophil %, bands % and wbc and click. takes 10 seconds. barry
Thank you, will do that now
WBC 4.80
Gran% 50
ANC 2.4
Now is that good
Gran% ????? You should use Neu %
Had to look it up, no Neu% on CBC, according what I was just reading they are one in the same. Gran% vs Neu%
Still digging
Copied my CBC 4-25-2013. And uploaded it into my pictures. Please have a look. Still trying to wrap my head around this stuff...guess I should have stayed in school.
on, search
Absolute neutrophil count (ANC) is a measure of the number of neutrophil granulocytes[1] (also known as polymorphonuclear cells, PMN's, polys, granulocytes, segmented neutrophils or segs) present in the blood. Neutrophils are a type of white blood cell that fights against infection.
you can check your ANC, by going to marrowforums.org:anc calculator
These numbers become mind boggling sometimes. It can become overwhelming. And yes your numbers look great!
