And it's SVR !

I am a family practicioner doc in my country and 33 yrs old.

I have diagnosed in 2010 with hep c. And everything destroyed in my life after that diagnosis.

IL 28B : TT, no money, wife left and divorced after diagnosis. I was in anesthesiology specialization and resigned after diagnosis due to anxiety disorder.

And now...

I was in triple tx with incivo (telaprevir) and last week i have got RNA results for post tx 12nd week.

ITS NEGATİVE (negative since week 4).

DONE!

So sorry you lost so much due to hepatitis C. I am glad you are now undetected. Don't forget to have another viral load checked at 24 weeks. Incivek is such a hard treatment to take.

How wonderful!  Congratulations!!  So glad you made it through that very harsh treatment, especially for such a wonderful result!

Maybe now you can put your life back together and enjoy your hepc free life!!

I do agree with AWM, though.  Please have an EOT24 Blood Draw, just to be sure!!  Keep us posted.

Blam, another Dragon bites the dust!

Blessings,

Pat

This is wonderful news, Benjamin. Congratulations on attaining Sustained Virologic Response!

I remember when you first came on the forum so it is great to see that you you were able to treat and attain SVR.

I also treated with Incivek so I know what you went through on treatment. But it cured us, and for that we can be thankful.

I am sorry about your wife. I hope your life will improve now that you are cured.

(I also agree that you should get an HCV RNA test done at 24 weeks after end of treatment, just to be absolutely sure of SVR. While it is exceedingly rare,  0.3 percent of people can relapse at 24 weeks after end of treatment.)

Best of luck going forward!

Our spouses and partners are who see us thru and keeps us from wallowing in the fog and disparity. Believe me if she bailed, you are better off without her. Go get your life back and live it.
