You might check the webiste for Hepatitis Technologies where HR is one of the principals.

Gauf, who posts every once in a while, has been documenting supplements for some time. In addition to the referenced thread and the HR link below you might consider taking a looks at some of Gauf's journaling and posts. You can find it by beginning at his profile page.
This is not an endosement on my part but Gauf has been studious and serious and would likely respond to a Private Message if you sent it. You will note that his list of supplements is not static; it changed before, during and after treatment.
This stuff is way over my head so I can't suggest anything but to research the best way you can.
You will want to be off of a lot of the supplments about a month before you start TX. As far as I know, vitamins OK but botanicals are too risky as some may slow TX response which is far from what you want.
Making sure your vitamin D levels are well up in to the good range before starting is important. High doses of Sam-E, along with TMG and folic acid will help interferon signaling. HR said ALA was good on TX. I am supposing that means that R-ALA is even better but I've heard no official word on that . As far as I know, it does the same as the ALA but it much better absorbed. Hopefully someone will correct me if I've stated that incorrectly.
Your relapser status puts you in a very hopeful category.
Go get em,

I have not finished my bio on here. I have been through one round of 52 weeks of SOC in 2009 then relapsed. I am a moderator for another forum and we had a retreat this past weekend and one of the guys there told me about this site. I found a list on here earlier and have been taking most of what was on there already, including the R-Lipoic acid. But I was wanting to make sure I used everything I could to help me. I have a GI appointment this afternoon to discuss my upcoming treatment with Telaprevir and should be starting again soon. Thanks for your response, I will look up that information.
One of the forum members made a summary of a lot that HR said. HR never provided a list but answered many questions over a long period of time. It would be really best, for your understanding, to read through what he wrote but it is a lot. It will be helpful to start with the list that Gauf put together from his posts. There is at least one change since then. The alpha lipoic acid is good but the R lipoic acid is considered superior. The R-ALA wasn't available when HR was here when the list was made. He dropped by and answered a question about it much later. About the easiest way to go to Gauf's journal is to google- Gauf's journal+ HR's liver lover list I did this the other day and it was the first selection to choose from.
The other change is that a company called Hepatitis Technologies are selling a high quality product which reflects everything in the list plus some. They have HR as their consultant for how they are put together so they are good. They are expensive, but they do have a compassionate relief program that can reduce the cost according to your income. This is what we had to do.
I hope you find relief. It helped my husband when nothing else did. I haven't read your profile to see if you have tried to clear the virus with Interferon/Riba. The new protease inhibitors look really good for past relapsers or slow responders but not so good for null responders. Better things are on there way though. HR's supplements are the best thing I know of to help your liver hang on while waiting to get cured.
Best wishes,
Ev
