Anyone have low Platelet count prior to Hepatitis Dx?

Just taking a survey of anyone who may have had a low platelet count prior to Dx. Thank-you!

I dont have that low platelets they have been slightly under normal once during this tx Im in w21 of 48.

But i have a female friend here in Sweden that have 50 when not treating I was looking in on her behalf to see if I could get some info.

Scoop if i were you I`d open a new thread and ask the question .

Actually it's scoop who dug it out. And you guys are all replying Christian instead of scoop.

I can't reply scoop, as I know nothing about low platelets.

Me too.  Started at 114 and down to 55 at last count.

Yup. pretox around 70.    3 wks into tox at 54.

i have cirrohsis (stage b?) and my low platelets are the problem right now
generally my count was 50 to 80, and am at week 6 of tx having to skip a week of interferon pending this weeks blood results.
my count dropped from 74 to 55 to 34 to 24 and my doc doesn't like to continue past 30.

i'm now trying to find out if there may be info re: how low platelets can go. might they stabilize at a low but kindof ok number?- or ??
