The urban dictionary - wow guess I do live in the boonies. But we knew that :-)
Hope we get to meet in person Monday...call me
Got to get some sleep tonight had a real bad body day.
Hugs....mikki
Tomorrow looks like a nice day to ride - anyone want to join me?
hi, like Mikki said, just means that I am trying out the Alinia before doing it with tx just to see if I get any sides from it, etc...I like to know what is doing what...if it's okay and hardly any sides, then it's a go for TX, since it's not that harmful anyway...
Who you tellin? Just a stupid way of saying - yeah, I hear ya! (note to self, get Miki a silly present like the Urban dictionary for her next birthday, lol she can get me a horse! or failing that, that Guardian Angel she's got going!:))
OK - it must be getting late cuz it took me about 5 minutes to figure out what you meant by litter...the nipples - GOT IT duh - cute!...gee I can hardly wait to see what happens to me on tx since I'm such a basket case now. I still don't get 4c's post "Who ya tellin?
Oh but I do know what the preload is for the Alinia - just means she is doing it before tx and during.
I better go to sleep - ha - early dr. apt tomorrow
Humidistat is to humidifier, what Thermostat is to Heater, except the humidistat tells you when to do what, and setting the thermostat, you tell it what to do!
My dad got nose bleeds @ high altitudes in dry air. He'd use neosporin on a cotton swab to put a thin coat in ea. nostril. Stopped his nose bleeds like a hemostat.
4-C, I know what Alinia is, but what's preloading?
Mikkimoe, congratulations on your 'litter'. :)) JK Hugs all 'round, Ant B
wow, learn something new all the time! yeah, this one looked good, thanks for the head's up, my plants are going to love it, I always wanted one for them anyway...they have much more expensive ones, but this one is sounds good...you have to watch for the ones that make too much bacteria I would imagine...thanks!
I used the coupon and got the Air-o-Swiss last year. I am glad I spent the dough. My cat's love the darn thing. It does leave a white film on stuff if you don't stay on top of replacing the mineral cartridge often. But you might get around that if you use distilled water.
yeah, I get those every 2 weeks or so...someone told me you can even use them after the expiration date! see, useful info all over this site!:)
Miki: who you tellin??? lol...I painted some of my place (thought some nicer colors would be good for any oncoming depression, redid some things, new curtains, pillows, etc...I was always told not to get a tv for the bedroom, but I figured I might be bedridden sometimes, so I got a flat screen for my bedroom...new plants, etc etc etc...I figure it this way, I may not get SVR, but I redid my place! lol. (sick)...maybe I should get some nurf bats if I have any riba rage, that way I won't hurt anybody....:)
yeah, should of said, humidifier....saw a nice one for just a hundy.

---------------------------------------------------------
Let me know if you need a 20% off coupon. I get one from Bed Bath and Beyod every other week. That would make your "hundy" an "octo" . . . . .or so . . . .
Wow - that's quit the steamer you found (no not you Jim - don't want to ruffle your feathers)
This little virus is really getting pricey...I spent over a hundy just getting lotions and potions at Walmart yesterday.....already using some of them on the big red circles all over my chest and tummy from being alergic to the transducers from the echocardiogram yesterday....kinda looks like I have about 15 nipples....(no Jim I'm not posting a picture lol)
ha ha, shame on you! Now I know what you meant! lol...guess I've turned into Marion the Librarian in my old age...once I googled vaporizor....I got hip!
When I went to Alta, Utah 3 weeks ago the same dryness that makes the snow really fine and skiable also creates havoc in the nasal caveties. Everyone at the lodge had bloody noses including me just from the dryness. The last day, during checkout I find out that the desk has humidifiers they can lone you. You might want to phone the Peruvian Lodge in Alta and ask what type of humidifiers they use. That's about all I can contribute.
just keep the thread going its getting steamy :O)
Oh, THAT kinda of vaporizer!!
Forsee: should of known I could count on you for all the details:)
---------------
I do know who I'm dealing with here :)
No, a "humidistat" is a device that tells you how much humidity is in the room. It's like a thermometer for humidity. The "humidifier" is the appliance that pumps the water into the room. You need both. You should find a servicable humidstat anywhere from ten to fifty dollars, depending on bells and whistles. Inexpensive steam humidifiers start around ten dollars and can go upwards probably to a hundred or more.
You might start with a humidistat and a small Vicks unit like described before. See if it's enough to humidify your room to normal levels, with a reasonable fill schedule. If not, then you probably want to invest in a larger steam humidifier.
Alternatively, you can hire the guy from the other thread (see Mikki's post) to steam up the room. I'd volunteer my services but have a full callendar this month.

should of known I could count on you for all the details:) so which one of these babies should I get? from what I gather from your post - the last one, the room humidstat? I'll have to search engine that one...thanks for all your responses...with me, it's no stone left unturned...blech.....
A good investment with some caveats. The cold vapor models can potentially cause more harm than good unless kept fastidiously clean, regardless of manufacturer's claims to the contrary, i.e. "very clean models", etc. I used one of those old school $10 Vicks models (includes a night light :) ) sold in drug stores, You have to fill it up a lot, but less bacterial build up because of the steam and more frequent fillings. When things got really with my sinuses, I used one of those small "face mask" models. The directions say to use them on a hard surface and do not lift them up to you face. I learned the hard way that those directions had a purpose. The other investment is a simple room humidistat which will let you know whether you need it in the first place. When to turn it on. When to shut it off.

I'm preloading with Alinia right now...no problems with that so far? and I'm going to be taking my first shot on the 17th...Vegas has my odds as 60/40:)
That's not trivial at all! I live in Chicago so I've been using one in my bedroom during the winter months for years now I have had minimal coughing on treatment for the most part and I attribute it to the use of a humidifier. Even though you will be staying hydrated by drinking a lot of water you will still become very dry.
When is your start date?
All the best to you!!
Your start day is????? ;) I'm a wise *** too!
I think it would be an incredibly great idea and in using one especially at night you might find a LOT of comfort for your mouth and totally avoid the tongue bumps! Even if I was able to sleep (thanks to the Ambien) I'd have to wake up to drink something even half an hour. I wish to God I'd gotten one - vaporizer is one of the best cheap things to try there is.
I used a humidifier and it helped. It's good to chew gum during the day at night some times I use apruduct at the drug store that keeps your mouth from drying at night.Usually near tooth paste and used for chemo exc.
And your start date is .....?
