Blood test results - what does it mean when

My billirubin has increased (was normal) now its not. Neutrophils used to be too low now they're within spec. ALT is now within spec too. Basophils within spec but with a downward trend.
Its only been a week - I had to have a blood test for some side effects which the gp wanted to make sure was not a coagulation issue. It is fine also.
Just find it interesting that there have been changes to my system in such a short time.
The first few days were hell due to the nausea and skin photosensitivity but I seem to have stablised. Touch wood!!!

The further you progress in treatment most of the values on the CBC (complete blood count) will fluctuate over and under the reference intervals.

I just popped into the LabCorp site and did a print screen of one of my labs during treatment. Not sure which week but I think it was after I started Procrit so maybe week 18 or so.

Notice how many values are in the High column and how many are in the Low Column.

The two values we tend to pay particular attention to are
Hemoglobin (the 10th one down) [to check for Anaemia
Absolute Neutrophils Count (7th one down) to check for Neutropenia

Neutrophils can go up even with a cold. Any small infection of any kind will raise the neutrophils. In fact if the neutrophils are getting to high there is a possibility of an existing infection

I would repeat the tests in another week

Were the ALT high to start with? If they are in the range now, this is a good sign

As Idylic mentioned. keep an eye on Hemoglobin as well
