Can you get Hep C from Sex?

My boyfriend is Hep C postive, can this be transmitted sexually?

I have been married to the same man for 23 years-He is negative so this should tell you the odds are very slim.Just dont share toothbrushes,razors and personal item  as well. cindy

Get vaccinated against Hep B as this can be sexually transmitted.

Here is a study that supports little risk if any in 'normal" relationships.  I have yet to see a study where transmission occured.

The verdict is still out on that question but better to be safe than sorry. Hepatitis may go undetected for 20-30 years why chance it? Check with your physician but as I said, the jury is still out on that issue. I have been with my wife for 23 years and she does not have it.

Possible but very rare.  Blood needs to enter the blood stream, and that does not mean the vagina,anus, penis(via urethra) or mouth (did I miss anything?) that is not the blood stream.
