You dont necessarily have to have a yeast infection to have Candida.
Candida albicans grows internally=over growth of yeast in the body.
Do you have Hep C?
It can start with an overdose of antibiotics. And you dont need to have a STD to have Candida..
As far as I know yeast infection is candida albicans in lay man terms.
Us women can be incredibly prone to it. It can be caused by any imbalance in our system. It is very common after a course of antibiotics, that is why one should take probiotics while on antibiotics and for a while after the antibiotics are finished. You can even get it, when you are going through stressful periods in your life. And I guess we all fit this one, with this hep c we have.
When the weather is getting hot, also. When I was living in Indonesia for 20 years, I was prone to getting it, as the climate is hot and humid.
Candida feeds on refined wheat and sugars. The essential is, that you have been prescribed some medication for it. Often a Canesten vag suppository will clear it up in no time. If not your doctor might prescribe some kind of oral nystatin tablets like Mycostatin.

Don't know if you will read this Marcia, but I found your info helpful, & you added it 2 years ago! Thanks!
