TO ALL HCV OR NOT..

Ok. I had EIA for HIV & HCV both at 32 days after exposure.(low risk) I had no HIVARS symptoms until 4wk whish I had a rash on my chest. The Doc. said that had nothing to do with HIV and that ars rash was common with fever.OK/but now 7wk after have pain in my abdomen and it was on the right and left side yesterday but now is only on the right side. My low risk was protected sex with a CSW and 2 sec. fisting as receiver. I did not see her hand and don’t know if she had any paper cut or something that could transmit any STD.

1-What is the Chance of transmission of HCV in this encounter?

2-My Doc said that I was Ok. With HIV EIA at 5.5wks and STD at 4wks.WHAT DO YOU THINK? THE WEB CAN GET REALY CONFUSING

3-Is a pain on my abdomen a clear symptom of HCV?

4-Will HCV make HIV EIA test False Negative? When co-infection...

2 seconds? What did she do, give you a quick upper cut to the bunghole. You seem to be awfully paranoid for someone brave enough allow someone to stick their fist in there. In the future, use it for what it was designed for and not a catcher’s mitt. As far as HIV and HCV, you should be fine but think of all the other damage you are doing to your body.

you have certainly cleared the first hurdle.  I believe MOST people will test pos on the first test.  You have a 1 month plus neg for Hiv and Hcv. correct?

The neg result is NOT definite but puts you close to 'safe' territory.  In baseball terms, you have rounded second and are heading to third.

Get a final antibody test at 3 months, I believe it will be neg, and move on with life.

If you want to know sooner, ask your doctor for a 'PCR' test for Hiv and Hcv.  Expensive but gives a reliable result sooner than an antibody test.

Pcr checks for the virus itself (for hiv and hcv) rather than antibody to the virus.

Good luck, and don't stress out so much.  i have a feeling you will be Ok.
