Compassion, Friends and Tx/ other post

I have not opened a thread in a long time; but today, I did notice that since I have been away from the forum, there has been alot of love and compassion being spread around.  I missed the begining of these matters; but I think, I can figure just how great of responce Tator got from all here.  I too, would have been glad to give up what ever would be needed.  For all the newcomers to this forum; this is what all these people here are really about.  Being there when you are in need. Yes, we have little spats, now and again, but in the long run all is put aside and all rally for you. This is just a wonderful place for support and friends. For, all of you who have shown your true colors lately; I applaud you for your compassion.  Where else, would anyone on this treatment get this kind of support.  I am very proud of all here and of this forum.

I thought we could use another thread open today; there is only one.  And, I think this subject will be a good disscussion.  Maybe get some to open up and feel more comfortable when first entering this forum.

All of you here are the BEST EVER!!!!!  We have a WONDERFUL bunch of people here.

Thanks, just for being the people you are; and for being there in all our times of feeling down and out.

Good Luck TATOR, all will be fine; you have support.

Just my expression of what I feel about the people here.

Love Ya All,
Cajun

Hey Beamer saw your note. I love ya man and I don't want your beer either. You've been a sparkplug for me and I've learned a lot from you. We are a group and we ride the waves together. Dale

I couldn't agree more!  I had no intentions of treating before finding this group.  I certainly would NOT have pushed on through some of the dark moments of tx without the encouragement from everyone here. You are all awesome!  I don't always reply to everyone's posts, but I do keep each and every one of you in my thoughts and prayers!  This is an awesome group.
I have been thinking a lot about finding a place we could all go that would give us more of an opportunity to be open.  We certainly would stick here as well, but it would be so nice to be able to talk in a more "social" environment.  I do know how to do this and would be happy to set it up.  I would just need to get the word out so that everyone in this group could find it.  Obviously not to replace the wealth of knowledge that is here, but to allow us more off topic friendly conversation :)

Beagle, Thanks for checking in!  I just did #15.  Hanging in there!  5 to go and it cant happen fast enough for me!  Today is my birthday, which kinda sucks, hahaha, but it beats the alternative AND I am looking at it as a new lease on life, since I am so close to the end!   Thanks for thinking of me.  It made my day!  Hope you are doing well and hanging in there.  Any ideas how they will handle your most recent HGB drop?  I hope everything resolves quickly!

The group on yahoo sounds good, but I would worry about leaving just one person from this forum behind.  Not everyone here post daily so they may never see the move to another group.  So for me I'd rather stay here where I know everyone is.  The people here as far as I'm concerned are like family and that can never be replaced.  I for one would be worried about losing just one from here if we moved.  It's a great idea but for me I like it the way it it is.

I agree completely, I would not want anyone left out. I have found this site and those who participate to be my family, friends, support system and look forward to reading, writing almost daily (when possible). Until recently, I thought I could handle this on my own. My fiance' is a very supportive person, and is really great with me and all my whinning, but this site has made a major difference in how I view myself. I would never want to take that away from anyone.

I agree with all whole heartedly. One of my greatest fears is that I hit Enternet Explorer one morning and Med Help is gone. I wouldn't have a clue how to get in touch and whine. I know the screen names but if this thing ever shut down for whatever reason I wouldn't know what happened to any of you. Dyce and Nygirl started about the same time with treatment but all of you keep me up even when I hit bottom and foregive me when I say stupid things(sorry) I have notice many are in touch so is there someplace where we can post our email addresses so that anyone wanting to make sure they can stay in touch will know how.Dale

Hope all are fine, the events and the help that tator recieved brought this crazy man to tears. I can't remember seeing that much support in a long time, thought it was extinct at this point in time.

Dale ray- Have you recieved your blood work results today yet?

I agree 1000% about the importance of this forum. 4 months ago i knew nothing about hcv, about treatment,...people here helped me decide to treat, they helped me decide to tell my children, they showed me i was not alone. the people here know more about this illness than my doctor. i also am interested in knowing how to go get in touch if need be outside of this forum. what happened with tator is a shining example. this place is a god-send.

Dyce: They said it will be in the morning I'm waiting to hear about yours right now. Somebody else in here knew alot about your subject. Beagle or someone will chime in this evening. Isn't it nice to know that the lepard colony takes care of its own. Tears are a good thing they wash ones humility out in the open.

Amirtracy: God send is the right term Tracy. It's like when someone goes missing from the board you want to be able to just email them and say "hey are you okay". I don't know the answer but if more are interested I'm sure we can find a way. I wouldn't be on shot number 20 if not for this group. Like I said its like having a whole new set of siblings. Dale

My family is from France, and my father was military, my brothers lived in Paris for years, then my dad was stationed back in DC and I get born in good old Ft. Belvoir Va. When my mom died, my dad felt sad about many things, one was that I never got to travel as my older brothers did, or that I never got to live overseas. So my first trip anywhere was Paris, that was in Oct 2000, then I became addicted to traveling. I have gone every year, (except one sad year) I hope to go this year after my tx is complete. It is really cheaper than anyone can imagine.

Hi Can-do! I sure hope you're doing well :) Thanks for asking about me. My sx's are so-so. Did shot #7 last night and feelin' it today. Definently picked up some new symptoms in the last week or so but it comes and goes. Starting to look pale around the eyes and i think if i looked rosier i might feel a little better...I can manage it 'tho.
Got my cbc labs yesterday. Numbers are up. Neuts are from 1074 to 1700 and hmg from 11.5 to 11.7. Platelets at 313. So far so good dr. says. I'm just thrilled not to have another dr. to pay YET. (knock on wood)...

How 'about you? You doin' okay? I sure get alot of laughs at the way you and some of these guys carry on here. Sometimes it comes at the exact moment i needed it. so thanks and i hope you sx's are few as well my friend.   tracy

I know exactly what you mean. i worry about you guys now. I find myself thinking about everybody's latest test or dilemma and hoping deep down everyone's okay... i'd love it if we could start a group like paris suggested. yahoo or whatever. just a way to communicate in case someone needs something...

A friend mentioned that yahoo has 'groups' you
can form on your own & we could get together there
if someone were computer 'smart' enough, (not me)
to get it up and going. My local theatre goup has
one, and they said there is no cost, just need to know
what your doing, and start the invites.

I seemed to have missed your post.  Everyone was so helpful to you and I don't even know why.  Can you or someone else point me to what happened?  It seems as though everyone has rallied around you, and I wish to help in any way also.
