THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY, WE HAVE WAITED 4 MONTHS TO SEE DR. O'BRIEN, MY HUSBANDS APPOINTMENT IS IN APRIL EARLY APRIL, DR.O'BRIEN REVIEWED HIS MED RECORDS AND. THANKS AGAIN. TOLD TO GO AHEAD WITH HIS TX TILL HE SAW HIM IN APRIL
A few of us here have been treated/consulted with the UM doc's. I saw one of the others. I don't recall any mentioning O'Brien, Schiff and Jeffers are more frequent mentions. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with any of them. The hepatology clinic at UM, as a whole, is highly regarded. One thing that you should expect is if you are a new patient there's a pretty long wait to get in and see them. Make an appointment soon and make sure you have good directions, the drive is kinda tricky - especially the parking. Over the years I've read many hepatitis studies and trial results and have seen his name crop up many times as one of the authors/participants. You can review the docs' bakground and areas of interest at the UM website. Here's a start, you can google for info on him. http://www.med.miami.edu/medicine/x549.xml?id=34891
