thanks so much for your comments. i appreciate all of you. belle
Carmex would also work well
@ Fijole - tink u for the reminder.... As always. Lol!
@ Belle - I read on here to try Monostat. I had a little tube that came w a kit. Only lips n sides of my mouth where it cracks, and it's gone. I only use it as needed now. Maybe a few days a month. Karen
For feet I get a pedicure once a month. I love it ands it's such a nice relaxing treat. In between I put foot cream on before I put my socks on.
I am sorry for your trouble with the cracking lips! I did not have that but I did have that same symptom on the hands and heels! They all prompty got infected too. I mention it in case anyone else sees this and has something similar. I used neosporin. Don't know if it is ok for lips. Take care, I am still riding with you!

Love your turtle I collect them. Survival!!!!
I use Tinactin, it's a cream for Athletes Foot. The doctor told me it's actually yeast and it's very common when on treatment.
tanacton worked great for me
Hey Belle! The further into tx, I find I am more dehydrated big time. And yes, with the weather, it is a bigger challenge to drink as much water. If anything, we need to drink that and more, since it is getting worse.
A friend gave me some advice on chapped lips (non-tx related): Use an electric toothbrush to brush your lips to exfoliate them. Then put on your favorite balm. I use Blistex (silky smooth satin or something like that). If the Aquaphor isn't helping, you may want to also consult a dermatologist.
Bee
you put that on your lips? what is the brand? thanks...belle
you're right about the water intake. i've slowed down because of the weather. i need to focus on drinking more water. thanks for the reminder. belle
Every time I get cracked lips, and it is often, I think I am getting dehydrated. There are a lot of days in the winter that I just don't feel like drinking water and I think it takes a toll on skin and lips.
I use Bert's Bees too and it helps some but I mainly have to refocus on the water.

I would say mine are mild in comparison to some of the other posts I have seen, but it has not been easy. First 12 weeks were flu-like symptoms and now I am having a problem with anemia, and my hair is thinning big time. It seems that I just started to get the rash, but I tried the oatmeal/corn starch paste that someone else posted and it sure seemed to work for me. I'm glad to hear that you are doing well. Take care.. and good luck to you as well..
yes, i'm on my 31st. week of a clinical trial. i have 17 more weeks to go. i'm seeing light at the end of my tunnel now. i'm on peg/riba. i was on gs9451 (a PI), but that ended at 24 weeks. how are your sx? mine are fairly mild. good luck to you. belle
I have that problem as well. It does not seem to matter how much Burt's Bee's (only thing I can use on my lips) or how hydrated I am. I am on week 20 of 24.. 4 weeks and 2 days left of this nightmare. Are you on treatment?
