Diziness, Stomach hurting?

My husband has not started treatment yet because of the Porphyia however he is really starting to get sick.  He stayed home from work yesterday he was running fever and would get very dizzy and his stomach was hurting.  I have a call into the doctor.  He just called from work and its happening again.  Is this common?  He has quit drinking so it could be withdrawls.  This is really starting to freak me out!

hey you may want to post this above as a question so you can get the responces you need. people may not see it down here.

i'm so sorry that this is happening to you guys. wow won't your insurance help you with the cost of meds? if not perhaps you should try to get into a trial and they will pick up the tab.

i hope you can get some more replies up above...sandi

you know creed you also need to be very concerned about the possibility of asceties and the fluids becoming infected which is what can happen in cirhosis...any infection needs to be dealt with immediately when you have cirhosis/asceties...it can lead to sepsis...very dangerous stuff.

obviously i have no idea this is what is going on but the dr  will be able to find out...a ct scan or ultra sound is important for finding out about asceties. it can pop up suddenly like almost overnight sometimes...

you get a bad stomach ache with asceties and bloating etc...

be sure to get him to doc soon and mention this as a concern too...

i pray he finds out it's nothing serious at all...our thoughts and prayers are with you both creed...

creed, when can he start treatment? does your dr give you an idea on this? i'm sorry if you told us and i forgot.

It has been 3 weeks since he was diagnosed with Hep C.  He quit the day he found out.  However I think he slipped a few times.  I worry because he has the sores from the porphyia in his stomach.  Also the fever.  I called the doctor and made an appt.

Monitor him closely. Take him to an ER if he gets worse. I don't think it's Alcohol related.

My husband still has not started treatment.  We are still fighting with insurance company, also trying to get him in a program to help with payment.  The pharmacy fill the one script today for the copegis it was over 1200.00.  I about had a heart attack.  Just asking if you all can keep us in your prayers.  Also, the stomach pain and dizziness... my husband has had that for months they keep saying it is nothing to worry about.  His test came back that his count is in the 3 millions, his type is 2b and the liver biopsy was 3 out of for inflammation of liver and 4 out of 4 for cirrhosis.  Any in put is greatly appreciated.
