There is only a handful of multivitamins on the market taht are any good at all.I used to take a multi, but now i have down to a science,i get all i need from my superfood intake
I am talking gel caps vs hard pressed vitamins......not food, we eat very well & more organic than you can imagine
gel caps are designed to break open in the small intestine where food is absorbed to by pass the stomach acids, food on the other hand needs to be broken down with hyrochloic acids
I also agree that a good diet is a must, not just for us but for everyone. I take in a gel cap form.....4,000 IU vit D......vit C & E.....Flax Oil......Milk Thistle. For some reason it seems to me that a gel cap will disolve before it gets flushed.
I also take calcium 2x (hysterectomy at 40).....magnesium......acidophollis......B complex......red rice yeast
Disclaimer.....this is what I, MYSELF, ME take. I am not recommending my regimen but it is what I take. I am SVR by the way

Only supp i take is Vit D...i dont consider mushroom extract powder a supp...its a super food....there is a fine line between supps and superfoods...like algae and ginseng to me are food
Three months before tx I tool liv 52 and Samento (a brand of cats claw). The liv 52 was suppose to bring my alt's down and the Samento was suppose to raise my wbc to help fight the virus. My alt's rose, but my wbc went from 3.1 to 4.2. So it appears the Samento was working, but I had no results from the liv 52. When I went to Stanford Liver Clinic, I told my doc what that I was taking these and he didn't say not to take them. However, I stopped on my own because I want any results I may be having to be from tx alone and not confused with other types of meds. My 4th weeks blood test showed my wbc has risen to 5. When I reach undec, later in tx, I believe I will start those two again. They aren't expensive and I did have good results with the Samento.
I do agree with nygirl and Trinty that a good diet and exercise and no alcohol or drugs is vital. I would also go further and say that no chemicals of any kind should touch your skin. I use only natural lotions and hair products and soaps because everything your skin touches becomes absorbed into the body and eventually ends up in our liver. Also, I never eat produce from other countries because of the high levels of pesticides. I try to eat only organic but that can get very expensive so if I have to eat non-organic I make sure it is from the USA.
I would also like to add that taking too many supplements can actually be toxic to our livers so if you are going to take them, take only ones that appear to really be working, keeping them to a minimum. I think we can take what they are doing at the Cancer Centers of America and approach our healing with a holistic approach, body, mind, spirit. They treat with traditional medicines, herbs, vitamins, acupuncture, meditation, spiritual guidance, and counseling. They treat the whole person and are having great success.
The best to you on your road to good health!

No, never have and never will. Healthy diet and exercise and no alcohol or drugs.
Moderation is the key to anything in life and don't believe in complicating what our body provides naturally.

NO I never took any of these as most supplements are a waste of time and money. I'm not going to look them all up but usually you can do just fine with a healthy diet and regular vitamins. No need to buy any of this stuff - except if you want to waste money and most all of it is a hoax.
