Hi I have been told I would look better if I wore some makeup.  I have makeup on!  Oh well, it will be funny when I am done, can't wory about the outsides when the insides are working so hard to save my life :)
I do understand as I have lost about half y hair, too bad it wasn't the bad part
Love to all

Oops.  Sorry, my bad.  Didn't read the questions carefully.  I am not on triple treatment.

Not me.  I look great, according to friends.  Well rested, less stressed and happy and about what one would expect of a 64 year old woman.  My weight is stable but could lose some.  I am told by hairdresser my hair is softer than it has been over the years.  My skin is less itchy and without sores.  I am taking experimental meds. though, unlike others on the thread.

I think I looked a little different after my last Tx...
Hopefully the triple doesn't affect me so much!

I look like a ghost left over from halloween. I swear I can tell when my hgb drops, my skin is white, real white, even my legs.

I cut my hair short pre tx so have not noticed any change there. And,  now I am  putting on weight and I am not doing the 20 grams of fat!!  I put make up on before I ever leave the house.

If it wasn.t for being anemic I would be fine, chubby but fine. Mo

I don't think it changes the way you look but these are powerful drugs we're talking about here.  Some people looking at you may certainly be able to tell you're not feeling well.  I mean when your hemoglobin drops drastically within a 2 day spread, then you will certainly feel beat down.  Whether it will show or not, depends on many factors.

Health, strength, stamina and your psyche will affect the way you feel and yes, even a stranger might be able to tell you are sick.  good luck

willbb and I were talking about it today, seems like the folks txing on INC have worse sides than those of us on VIC.  So you might just be onto something!

I became so pale and devitalized that they were going to do an autopsy! I'm about 45 % less "Dracula'ish"since off the Incivek and doing just the dual therapy. d

No you don't change. If you don't feel well you may look tired but if you can keep you blood levels up you'll be fine. I see people on treatment all the time and they look fabulous. It's the anemia that will make you look draggy. Just get dressed up and keep you hair styled, put some makeup on and do something you enjoy. You don't age it's like anything else if you don't feel well you're not going to be smiling so do things that make you smile. I looked sicker with the cirrhosis in full force then I do now undetectable. Good luck you'll be fine.

You age like the President.

When you finish you go back to the way you were before TX - and hopefully better.

Yeah , it makes you look real sexy....
jokes aside , I would say that really depends on how bad sides are
if you can`t sleep for days for example you will propably look it.....
also anemia has a way of making you look a little pale....
a lot also has to do with the fact that tx is quite long ,
if you manage to exercise during tx , keep a healthy diet ect....

I look like crap very pale and people are noticing since pale is not normal for me, so far I have only gained 4-5 lbs but my face and skin are sagging and that drives me nuts, also cant seem to get hgb past 8.3 so I am exhausted all the time but do you think I can sleep? No I can't sleep so that makes me look worse, only 3 more weeks of incivek and hopefully can say goodby to the itches and rectal pain, hell what a nightmare

When I treated the first time, I thought I had aged 10 years.  A lot of others on the forum thought the same about themselves.

Since I have become anemic -- and not nearly as bad as some here today -- I have looked gaunt in the face.  Wiped out. Bags under the eyes.  I did some research on anemia and the blood has to cut some losses, so to speak.  If there is not enough oxygen to go around the small bloodvessels in the  skin contract and the blood bypasses these..  Thus the pale complexion.  It continues to carry oxygen to the heart and brain - its two most important jobs.  So this is why we all look so pasty faced.

One of the very few days I cried, well teared up, was about a month and a half POST treatment. For the first time in 7 months I saw color in my cheeks.  I no longer have to use blush to disguise the pallor.  So, yes, I looked noticeably different but there are ways to get around that if you care to.

I looked pretty bad - kind of gray on some days, I lost almost 25 lbs and my hair fell out, eyebrows too- no way I could pretend that nothing was wrong but I did not miss any work at all  I am now more than two months finished - people tell me I look younger than before, my color is back and I have kept most of the weight off (I wasn't that big to begin with but could afford to lose a few). I think since my liver is functioning better, the toxins are being filtered out more effectively. So no matter how you may look during treatment, many of us bounce back better than before once it is over.  Good luck to all of you going through or contemplating treatment.

I look sick - my hair has really thinned, my skin is a pasty pale white, my eyes are all puffy and drooopy, got a itch all over my body and gained over 8 pounds while on INC, these are pretty strong drugs so you will look different, but remember you will not look this way for long and it is your life that you are saving so put vanity aside and fight the fight - Sunny
