Sorry, I didn't mean to upset you. Hugs, Marcia
I'm just sick to death of the whole thing and I really don't care anymore. I used to enjoy this forum - not so much anymore.
Trin
First I just wanted to say that I'm not butting into the pro con vegetarian non vegetarian discussion, as I'd rather keep myself out of it. And I'm not taking anyones side either. I am NEUTRAL. I chose to eat and not to eat what I believe is right for ME. And I don't really care what everyone else eats. None of my business
I just wanted to give a short explanation about Rockers comment on animal protein. Dairy products are animal proteins and I think he is referring to the whey protein as animal protein. That's all!
Hope you had a great 4th of July!
Marcia
LOL, I'm starting to understand your sense of humor.
Marcia
Yes, I have heard that a lot. One can loose one's appetite and just needs to eat what one can. I will definitely keep that in mind, as I have a BMI of 21, as it is. But there are also some people who put on weight on treatment, so everyone obviously reacts differently. For me it will be another one of those surprises. Maybe foods I love, I won't be able to eat and foods I can't take at the moment, I will be able to tolerate.
At the moment, if I drink milk, I will feel really sick. Can't take any dairy products without feeling nausea. Only raw milk cheeses. A latte, cappuccino or Indian Chai are the worse. I will feel sick to my stomach and have cold sweat outbursts. The same with ice-cream. Isn't that a bummer! Can't take more than 1/2 an avocado either and I love them! It really is annoying. And then I'm vegetarian and the only animal protein I get is from dairy. That's also why I'm supplying with the organic whey protein.
Marcia
I'll take a good veggie burger any day. Dead diseased cows are not my idea of a good food source. Have you ever seen them dragging them to the slaughter house because they are to sick to walk... NICE..... we have really come a long way.
Ill be lockn up my fridge if you come visit me.
i have to eat whatever i can get down, whether its pasta, hamburger, or a milk shake. you cant loose too much weight on TX, i have already lost 10 lbs, and i have the ulcer mouth thing,
so i just suggest you EAT whatever you can Just eat! Drink milkshakes, yogurt,
anything to keep you weight steady and give your body some fuel!
Laughter is the best meds....smiles and hugs to ya.
I read up on yours, before I commented on it. I wouldn't dare to say mine is more suitable for me, if I hadn't. You make me laugh with the python snake comment... I gotta go to sleep now, it past 1 am here and I'm zonked.
Marcia
i read up on ypur stuff....it is good...did you check out mine....its a new product...its the first time ive ever tried any kind of whey...my arms look like pyton snakes.
You are SO funny!
I must disagree with you on this one. I like the fact that the one I use is not denatured, meaning that it is not pasteurized and heat treated. As you might recall, I get nauseous from pasteurized milk products. So this is perfect for me.
I use this stuff callled Harmonized Protien..made by Progressive...do a google ..this stuff is better than your stuff...na na ....na na na naa...
OMG! This is funny!!
I thought this was going to be a protein discussion.
I had started writing my post, before anyone commented and was about to hit 'post comment'. Then the door bell rang, my son came to visit and he just lef. I get back to my mac and hit the button. Then all of a sudden I see that there has been a lot of commotion on the thread.
I personally don't understand why being vegetarian and non-vegetarian is such an issue.
We are both in our family and it never is an issue.
Marcia
The doctors here in DK strongly advice HCV patients to eat extra proteins. I have increased my intake of pulses and beans, especially lentils, as they are highest in protein. Quinoa and Amaranth are also very high in proteins. You can also buy them as milks. I don't really eat cheese, as I get nausea from it. I have found that I can eat cheeses made from raw milk, though, and have no problem with it at all. So that's another good source of proteins there too. And raw cheese has more nutrition, as the milk hasn't been pasteurized.
What kind of organic whey are you using?
I have also started drinking this organic whey protein. I'm using a really good one called ImmunoPro. My husband and my eldest son also use it. My son mixes it into his protein drink after his work out. I'm happy, 'cause I can actually get it in Denmark, through an American who has a web shop and is importing it from the US. Here some info on it:

You just confuse me with some of you statements which leads me to believe perhaps you're not remembering and weed does have that effect. This is what you posted yesterday:
i said...i was just getting my protien from soy and vegetable sources...not good while on tx.....we need animal protien while on these drugs.
Well said Meki....you should have run for president.

Ah youse guys --- You make me laugh - you sound like my ALMOST 12 year old daughter and my second hubby in the house... (Hubby's 20 year old son is like having a second hubby here - let me tell you!)
Anyhow - they fight like cats and dogs...
Don't agree on ANYTHING.
But don't you dare step inbetween them... Cause they''ll both turn on you and BITE.... ROFLMAO!
So knock it off - enjoy reading what you want -- listen to the advice that works for you -- ignore what bothers you -- unless of course we're talking NOT GETTING THE BIG "O" or something --- that would be worth NOT ignoring.
Other than that - go merrily about your life and have lotsa fun!
Love you all!
Meki
Too much weed does the same thing
