Fluid Intake / High Sodium?

After my most recent blood work, I received a call from my trial nurse instructing me to limit fluid intake to 2 liters per day. When I asked why they said that my sodium levels were too high.
I fail to see the connection.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks
Costillas

Read the labels....sodium is in everything. We can take in 3-4x more than we need on a daily basis. Especially from processed foods.  Look for the low sodium foods. Drink lots of water...read the label though. If you are on city water get the results from the water department.  Most drinks have considerable levels of sodium.

If she were trying to flush wouldn't she recommend greater  fluid intake instead of lowering?

I have not actually spoken w/ her only got a message from one of the gophers. I'll try to contact her directly tomorrow to get clarification

Maybe she's trying to flush the sodium out of your system, sounds like it.
