amicraxy, why would you travel 100 miles to see a dr?  we got Dr Melissa Palmer in Ronkonkoma, liverdisease.com  and Dr Bernstein in the LIJ system, and they are less than 100 miles!  They are both hepatologists with HCV expertise. Dr B is the director of hepatology.  They are not in your health plan?

Not everyone is on the west coast and you are not the only one to have to travel that far to see your doc.  I live on the PA/NY border and the nearest liver doc I could find to treat me is 4 hours away, and believe me I tried to find one anywhere closer.  I have talked him in to letting my PC take care of the minor stuff and only seeing me once every 2 mos, but pretty soon here that is really going to be a hassle as I live in a lake effect snowbelt.  Also I know of quite a few people who live in the NYC area.  also MA, NC, VA.  all on here. Just keep watch people talk about the areas they are from and various probs getting to docs.

Chelle, you just hang in there(like I said) and talk to us when you can. It helps. I had a hard time talking to people about post-tx depression when I experienced it-but it helps when you do talk about it. It sucks royally to have to endure more **** after 48 weeks of **** but there really is improvement happening with each passing day. It is slow and when the mood goes low it seems like it is all the time but you will find it happens less and less. Hang in there Chelle-we're with you.

some days i just scroll down just to read your posts...if you had a tv show, i would watch it...i wish you did have a tv show...or maybe you could write a book....you are absolutely fascinating...i have been here at med-help for about a year and you've been here all that time, making me think....making me mad....making me laugh...i love when certain topics arise because i look forward to your response....i vote for YOU for mayor of medhelp!  (btw: i am in a seriously depressed state right now and will probably be embarrased that i wrote this)

Maybe we get a free pass in talking about politics today! cause I agree with you wholeheartedly...if they at least lose the house, we might look forward to some positive changes and the non-funding of certain "enterprises" that are raiding our coffers and putting us in chronic debt that our grandkids will be paying off ...no one even "thinks" about spending as much as these guys do....there has always been corruption in politics, but these guys take the cake...now I'll run outta here like a little kid after throwing a water-balloon...

Yeah, a democratic vote might get in the way of our president's plan for the complete denial of civil liberties and the total annihilation of the middle class and that could be very dangerous indeed.   Mike
