Where do I get this yogurt - Activa - I've never seen it in a grocery store - is it a health food item or ?

Sweetie you can get it at local grocery store. It is called Dannon Activa. Acid relux seems to be a problem with tx also. Tell your doctor what is happening and they may give you something to help. They also sell some digestive enzyme at health food store that may help. Remember your diet is super important when on tx. It may make the difference when it comes to sx.

I can relate to giving up the caffine.  Did this about 2 months before I started tx.  Still had the indy 500 running in my chest. LoL  I think it would have been alot worst if I were doing caffine.  I also swithced to splenda instead of sugar.  Doesn't mean every now and again I don't cheat.  I do, but I feel it; so cheating is very limited.  Don't like the feeling of anxiety.

Likewise to you.  I'm going to see my nephew today who is home on mid-tour leave from northern Iraq.  I'm betting he's glad to have break from daily patrols, roadside bomb clearing, and running base resupply (by Helo when ground route too dangerous).

Tomorrow getting inducted as member into my new church home.

Fortunately I'm not on Neup this weekend as it knocks me for more of a loop then other meds.

That is wonderfull that you are going to see your nephew. He is doing one very tough job and sure he needs all the family he can soak up. I am going to a centering prayer group this morning. Went last week for the first time. The group sits quietly for twenty minutes gently pushing all thoughts away by coming back to a sacred word that each person chooses.I find it challenging but the rewards are great if a person can commit to a daily practice. So I am taking baby steps with it giving it a try. Congrats on your induction tommorrow. seeya

How you doing? Can't imagine teaching while doing treatment, you are one tough number! I never could have managed, mind you at that point, I was working with behavioral challenged kids and they would have beat me up if they saw a weaknes(ok, maybe a little exaduration (how do you spell that?)). How did I get to be a teacher??? Only about 9 mo. left of the school year!!! Rest your good self as much as you can. I'm almost 3mo. post, overdid it for three days and still need at least10 hrs. sleep per night. I know it's temporary but be careful not to push to hard, I think it effects all parts of you when you take the one step too far!! Take care, peace to you..........Diane

Everything has blown over and things are going well. I might of mis lead you. I am not a teacher. I am the day utillity worker (the guy with all the keys). Thanks for the advice on taking it easy. These last two days of the week I just want to forget. Best wishes to you and all.

Believe me, without the people that work maintenance (and having them on my side), I just couldn't do what I want to do in my classroom. Without you guys and good secrateries, even the best would not be able to have a functional day (and believe me, some are ________) .Not good to say bad things about peers but jeez, I could write a book. Your's is a big school,eh. How many on your maintenance staff? Peace to you Tony, don't let arrogance and attitude get you!!!!

37 male stage 2 grade 3 geno 1b  tx start 7/28/06
vl before tx 365000. week four of tx undetectable. I did shot eight last night. I have no sx from it today. First two weeks of tx were brutal but since have been almost sx free. I work forty hrs a week and rest on weekend. I eat a good diet . I have totally given up caffeine, fatty fast food and i drink about one gallon of water a day. I take a silver centrum a day.  I take ambien 10 mg to help sleep and 50 mg zoloft for possible depression. Tylenol or aleve for any pain i may have which is not often.  Remember diet and fluid intake is important when on tx. Good luck to all

I agree!!! I'm a Thurs. afternoon shot taker, and find it very quiet here on Fri. & Sat.  I feel like I'm the only one on my way through a cave. Hello there!!
*ECHO ECHo ECho Echo echo*
On the weekends, I try to keep doing small things around the house, it's better if I can keep moving around..but I get pooped out SO fast and land back here at the puter about every hour or so. I just tried primering a pair of sliding closet doors, and it knocked the **** out of me. (not to mention that darn pain that runs across the back of my shoulder blades.) Ugh...think I'll just read for a while.
Have a nice weekend everybody!

Yes the Ribaviran has a speed like effect on me and caffeine would just boost it . I use to drink alot of coffee and soft drinks before tx now it doesn't appeal to me. My new favorite drink is v-8 juice . I have just about given up red meat also . I have it about once a month. I did eat red meat almost daily before dx. I replaced it with chicken and fish.

Wow - I'm having the same issue - I can't handle the site of red meat and lately I've been living on homemade soups = when I have the energy - I'm knocked out on the weekends - everything is like climbing Mt Everest - taking groceries out of the car, I have to rest in between - nothing is easy, everything is monumental.  Noises also go right through me - dizzy and headachy.  Just want to crawl up in my little hole but miss having people around but can't deal with that either.  Mondays are difficult by Wednesdays it gets a little easier.  Nice to know we're not alone here.

Make sure you are drinking enough fluids.  I drink alot of gatorade on friday to prepare for the shot. If you feel sick at your stomach drink flat ginger ale and eat some crackers or cookies when you wake up. Even if you don't feel hungry in the AM make yourself eat a few crackers. It is important to eat before you take your ribaviran also. something with a little fat in it. It helps the riba to absorb. Don't over work yourself on treatment . Relax and rest as much as you can.

I am a Friday night shot person.  1b stage2, shot 38/48,
vl 5.3 million.  UND 12 weeks.  Still UND.
I work five days a week; but only 5 hours a day.
started tx, Dec, 30 2005.  Beginning tx, riba 1200, peg intron .05.
Pre-existing meds, zetia, synthroid and synthroid had to be upped in mg.

Counts went up and down through all of tx, just as it lowered to discussing procrit, it would go up again.  So no Procrit.

For 12 weeks only used tylenol.  Then gave into AD's Prozac and Ativan 5mg 2x day. Made things much bearable; now that I am getting to the end I am having terrible headaches that the tylenol does not help sometimes.  And the itching and blistering of the skin.

I am going to try and not take any more rescue drugs this close to the end.

This has been quite a roller coaster ride.  Get in and buckle up. LOL

I'm struggling with food and trying to manage 3 insulin shots a day with this as well - I bought some saltines and I use the sugar free ginger ale - I go thru 2 - 2 liters a day - just to settle the nausea - haven't thrown up and first 2 weeks no nausea - now I have the nausea and had the same high then med temperature and chills all day  - can't say I mind the fever, feels better than the chills and it's telling me it's attacking something -  thanks for all advice and for the company through this - it means so much to get up from feeling like **** and just sit here and know someone is on the other end.
