GS 7977 + Rib. just had 12 wk post treatment

Im a genotype 2 was niave when i started with VL 9,500,000. I got my blood work from post treatment 4 week check up today @ my 12  week blood work. My ALT &went UP to 23from 13  and 23 from 19 . They had been dropping all previous results. Anyone experience this? Any know reasons why this would happen? I obviously was Undetable because I was not put on the new trial. Thanks

Keep your eyes on the prize. Viral load.
SVR 4 is highly predictive of treatment success.

As others have said, ALT/AST vary all the time and your values are within norms. Nothing bad about that.

Good luck with your next viral load test!

I know I already probably said this but no they will not tell us but it seems they pull those who are relapsed and put them on the study registry.  BUT it occurred to me, unless your clinical trial team is willing to tell you  then you might not know that.  Ours does because they feel it is the right thing for us to be encouraged and to know the real deal but also I believe they do not feel comfortable being deceptive.  Great clinical trial team..

I am genotype 2 and my last dose of medication was on July 9 so I am 9 weeks post treatment and I go back on Oct. 1 for my 12 week bloodwork.  But the clinical trial will not tell us if we are und because it is double blind but now we know that those who aren't get pulled and put on the study registry for the next treatment that they develop that applies.  I believe that the studies with just 7977 and riba up to this point have been only genotype type 2 and 3.  I told you the rest in my post.  Hey, I believe, based upon what happened with us that if any of your folks came up relapsed, they would get pulled so I think that you can know from that that you are UND.  Don't ya think?

What genotype are you and how many weeks post treatment? I was 12 weeks post yesterday. I know some of our folks received placebo and are going to get the drugs now but that is all they have told me. Looking forward to hearing you are looking at UND with your own eyes next week!!  8)

Thanks friends! I am double blind too. Wonder if they will tell us after the results of our 12 week blood work is completed at their lab. Are there any previous studies with 12 or more months with 12 week GS 7977+ Rib?
I truly appreciate all of your encouragement!
I am so excited I found y'all searching for info on the web! 8)
Congrats & Blessings to each of you!!

Yes, I just finished clinical trial of 7977 and Riba.  MY ALT at end of treatment was 15 and my AST was 22. Four weeks later my ALT went up to 22 and my AST 23.  I got scared.  It is a double blind and I didn't think I'd find out anything but one guy on the study relapsed and they pulled him and put him in the study registry for the next treatment so the rest of us then were told we are all Undetectable at 4 weeks post treatment.  So yes, don't worry.  apparently it goes up a small amount but then for me it stayed there and then I found out that at least for week 4 post treatment I am UND.  By the way, I just ran a viral load and will get the results next week.  I am going a little nuts waiting and want to actually see it with my own eyes.  I'll let you know what it says. Stop worrying, the very same thing happened to me and I am UND.

ALT levels vary normally. This is within the normal range, so no need to worry.
