Good News!!! - and other topics

I just got the call from my GI nurse.  My 12 week PCR is UNDETECTABLE!!!  Although my blood counts are low and I'm still dealing with many sides from tx, I'm now encouraged and ready to fight the dragon to the end.  Eleven to go and I'm counting them down!  Thanks to all on this forum for your knowledge and support (and for letting me share my good news).  You have really helped me get to this point and I know you'll be here for me the rest of the way. caruu

dont know what other universtiies she has applied to but emory has a very good rep in the med field (and an excelent one in the field of emergency medicine).
has she thought about which field she wants to go into?
dermatology makes the most money, and pediaritic oncology is to me the most painful(personaly).
if she has idea's of what speciality she wants to go into, that could also change where she wants to go.
our oldest son is applying for md/phd programs now and hoping to start in the fall.

Thank you all for your wonderful support!  I am so grateful to all of you for your knowledge, support and caring.  When I learned I had hepc I was shocked, confused, scared and depressed.  YOU all have been here for me and I've learned so much.  I was NOT looking at the blessings in my life 6 months ago the way I am now.  I am so grateful that I am/was genotype 2a and I know I have had a much easier burden to deal with than most.  This experience has allowed me to create a new point of view for what I want my life to be like and I hope, in my own way, I can help others who are fighting the dragon. caruu

Congratulations!  Way to go.  Treatment does seem to get just a little easier just knowing that you are undetectable, at least it did for me.  I still have really ugly days but somehow I manage to go forward.  Got to kill this dragon!  Hang in there and God bless you.
