I also had a lot of problems with my gums during TX, similar to yours. I had to remove a string on the back of my teeth I had to hold them to reduse the bacterieflow. During the worst periods I couldn't even eat.
Try to be really careful with the hygiene. I spent 10-15 minutes morning and night brushing, flossing and using mouthwash. When it was bad I used Corsidol, a mouthwash containing alcohol, for a short period of time. (don't know if that is a Norwegian product, but I am sure you have something similar) When it became better I just used Listerine, a really strong regular mouthwash. I also bought something at the drugstore which is used for babies when they are having their teeth as a pain relieve, so I didn't have to eat painkillers all the time.

I am on tx 6 wks now. Mine are the same way but always have had bleeding gums and sensitive teeth. What works best for me is sensidine toothpaste for sensitive teeth. After using a few times you can really tell the difference

Nah, no home remedies from this guy. It’s important to continue brushing, I think; there are things like Magic Mouthwash if the pain gets bad… maybe talk with your dentist on Monday, and see what they say? There’s also Biotene toothpaste and products that are designed for sensitive mouths; they are used by cancer chemo patients frequently.

Are your platelets holding up OK? You’ve been on treatment long enough for platelets to drop, if they are going to. If these have dropped significantly, they could prevent clotting.

Good luck—

Also, swishing warm salt water in the mouth is soothing to the irritated areas.   Just as it would be if you had a sore throat..., at least it is for me.
