I am on week 7, my HGB was 10. at 4 wks, waiting to see what the 6 week HGB was, but I have been feeling like fainting lately, yes...especially when I was in line, at the mall today, with MY daughter, it was Target. I felt better, once I ate something, but did worry, and feel light headed, driving home on the freeway, in the rain. I'm thinking no more freeway driving, until my Med Insurance approves some Procrit shots, are you going to get those?

Yes, I lost consciousness in a vehicle (I was a passenger) during a coughing fit while I had bacterial bronchitis during treatment. It happened about week 10 on triple therapy (Incivek).

I always feel like I'm going to faint when I get near a mall.  However, it has nothing to do with HCV and anemia. :-)

9.3 is getting low.  I would imagine they will also be checking your blood pressure during the visit.  Sounds like its time to discuss a plan to address the anemia.  Good luck to you.

Yes and that can be real embarrassing if they stink, people will be dropping like flies.

Looks like your HGB is getting low, a sudden drop can cause this..... Best to you...:)

I have not fainted but have felt like I could have a couple of times. I had to sit down and rest a few min. My hgb got down to 8.3 then they reduced ribo and started procrit . I feel like a new woman Hbg 10.5 now.

Well that is considered "anemic" ( <10) and may have caused the light headedness and fainting as OH has mentioned ,also often it is not actually how low the level goes .but how fast the drop .

In other words if you body was adjusting to say 10.8 or thereabouts and then took a relatively quick drop to the 9.3 the sudden adjustment can have this effect.

Yes..take it easy and good you are going in to see the doc tommorow.

Good luck..

I have fainted in the hep docs office last week-hgb dropped to 9.0, has been as low as 8.1. No rescue drugs, no blood transfusion. Doc says I'm stable, complete tx in 13 days. I walk w/friends or hubby just in case and no driving.

I haven't but others have talked about feeling faint. It's probably anemia.
I hope your doctor is having you do weekly labs.

Take it easy.

I had a few near misses sometime associated with walking, especially early in the day, coughing (a constant problem), and standing up after sitting for a while.  Now I became anemic during treatment and my hemoglobin dropped to 9.2 before I had to start Procrit and was likely the cause of most of it.
