There are alot of viruses or diseases that are treated and maybe you no longer have the illness but your bloods will always show a positive.  Just like a person with HepC, if I treat and I show negative/UND and reach SVR that means I am cured, but I will still show positive for the hcv anti-bodies.  Could be the same with you, as far as your ALT and your Gamma-GT being high that could be for any reason associated with your health.  Meaning maybe nothing is wrong, could be medications you are taking and it could be that something will be that way b/c of your immune system.  You really should talk to your doctor about this, but keep in mind that numbers do fluctuate.  good luck

Hi Fretboard,

I have been treated for H.Pylori, 2 times. The last treatment was in Sept 2007. Yet I still do not understand that every year, medical report still shows postive or a high count. I do not have any gastric or stomach discomfort all these while. Really do not understand? What is SGPT/ALT = 62 &.Gamma-GT = 81? Do I need to go for any kind of liver treatment? I am not sure whether I am HepC positive. I have no problem with HepB. Pls advise.

Well my unprofessional guess would be that you either have an H. pylori infection, that can sometimes go away with antibiotics or you have an ulcer.  Either possibility could make your other numbers higher than normal.  Are you HepC positive on top of that?
God Bless
