Hep FIBROSURE or Fibrospect TEST?

Hello

I have Hep B but I heard there is a blood test to detect fibrosis in hep C patients called Fibrosure.  Can Hep B people also do the test since we can also have fibrosis?

Thanks in advance

Hello, i'm a chronic hep b carrier. I wanted to find out the extent of liver scarring (Fibrosis) and me liver doctor has ordered Fibrospect 2 test.Fortunatley not a lot of damege in my liver (F0-F2, mild scarring). I'm on treatment with Viread 300mg for over a year now.Been undetectable for a while now.Are you on treatment yet?Yes, your liver doctor can have you do Fibrospect 2 test too. Now days, there are several non invasive test to detect liver fibrosis. No more need to do biopsy anymore. I had biopsy done 1314 years ago, and is very painful. Good luck to you.

Hi,Cally 44
here, i think , is the answer =

FibroTest

The FibroTest is calculated using an original combination of five highly concentrated biochemical markers which are easy to assess. The FibroTest offers a non invasive alternative to measure fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis C or B, alcoholic liver disease and metabolic steatosis (overweight, diabetes, hyperlipidemia)

The FibroTest combines alpha2-macroglobulin, haptoglobin, apolipoprotein A1, total bilirubin and GGT, parameters adjusted for patient
