The hep c antibody test is conclusive at 12 weeks unless you are immunocompromised. For example if you have AIDS. Then it can take as long as 6 months for sufficient antibodies to develop to detectable levels.

I am a patient who had hep C for 37 yeas. For more expert information speak to your personal physician.

I don't have hiv or aids,i am not chemotherapy, not on hemodialysis...will test hep c 90 days 13 weeks.. Anti hcv antibody test... 15 days back I have tested LFT my sgot is 39 and sgpt is 27..i took ultrasound abdomen I had grade 1 fatty liver.
Save your time and money test at 6 months and don’t worry about it in the interim.

Did you have a possible blood to blood contact? Was there a possibility hep c infected blood entered your blood stream? If this did not occur you are not at risk.

For hiv and hep b ask in those forums.

Hep c is transmitted by blood to blood contact so your situation was low risk.

Hep c antibody testing is conclusive 12 weeks post exposure.

I suggest you ask a doctor the answer to your questions. We are a community of patients and can neither diagnose or recommend any medical advice.
