was tyring to delete that last bit, hit send by accident. I was trying to say that quality of life via treatment, will always exceed the quality of life liven in fear of treatment, and side effects are a better option than liver failure.

After witnessing a bunch of others, I would emphasize that interferon CAN be really horrible for some, BUT is a walk in the park for others.
You need to get your liver tested, and if feasible, wait a couple of years for the interferon free treatments that are on the horizon.
But you need to KNOW from a real professional what state your liver is in, and be prepared to start treatment now, if required.
Being hit by a bus, because you're too scared to move out of the way, is daft,

very smart following up with your  doctor. Nice that you feel good with alternative meds. as you are probably aware they will not cure you. and to top it off you could feel good and liver could be getting worse.

See what your doc says then go from there.

There are new meds  that are added to the interferon that can cure you in 24 weeks instead of 48.

Don't worry about the interferon. It isn't as bad as the horror stories you read on internet. There are many more people that do just fine on treatment. These people have no need to post on the internet.

Best of luck

The  treatments today are approx. 70 -80 % successful and doing nothing about your HCV  may have far worse consequences
You are taking a good step seeing your doctor for a physical and possibly the next step is to get referred to a specialist to discuss your HCV..

Best to you and welcome...

you might want to post additional info here if you have it; what Geno Type, AST/ALT values, viral load, what stage you are. this disease is treatable, especially now that the new meds are now available....the natural approach won't do a thing to get rid of the virus. see a good GI or Hep doctor. also a biopsy is helpful.
