Use Metamucil.  Someone else said the key is keeping the stools firm. I found that to be the case. Take a dose of Metamucil after after meal or between meals at some point.  Also use Prep H wipes.  They are decently priced at Target.

Hi, and thanks for your feedback. I will be cutting on my dairy (milk), the reason I was drinking milk with my incivek doses 'cause the incivek it is very strong on my stomach.
Thanks...and the best of luck

My husband had anal rectal discomfort and bleeding through most of the 12 weeks of incivek.  It improved fairly quickly after he finished incivek, but it didn't totally go away until many weeks later.  Just follow all of the same recommendations:  try to keep the stool somewhat firm, drink lots of water, keep the area clean (my husband said Balneol helped the most), after cleaning/drying coat the area with some type of protectant (my husband said Desitin helped).  Here are some ideas for managing the anal/rectal discomfort:  http://www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/333064/Incivek--Ideas-for-dealing-with-anal-rectal-pain-or-bleeding

When I finished the Incivek I had about 5 days of feeling a little worse each day (especially diarrhea) before I suddenly had remarkable improvement and had about 10-14 days of feeling incredibly good! Then the sx of the interferon and ribavirin began to assert themselves and I got sicker again. After that brief period of feeling great came to an end I started experiencing abdominal cramps and diarrhea once again. I'm now finishing up my 36th week and have had intestinal problems almost the entire time. My hepatologist blames it on the ribavirin and can't offer me much help. He did suggest eliminating dairy from my diet, and though I was very skeptical about that (especially since most of my dairy intake is in the form of yogurt, which has the lactose largely pre-digested), nevertheless it does seem that my guts are a little bit happier without it.

I had severe anal and rectal problems including diarrhea weeks 5-12. Those problems literally stopped for me 1-2 days after I finished the Incivek. The other side effects from the Incivek took about 2 weeks to the day to clear my body. Hopefully it does the same for you. I am now on week 15, and no rectal problems since!
I hope that helped!
