Hot off the Press: Week 4 Lab Results--- YIPPEE!!!!

Great news that I want to share with you all......undetectable at the end of 4 weeks on triple tx.
Qeust heptimax HCV RNA < 5 IU/mL and <0.7 log IU/mL
Pre-treatment viral load was 3,270,000

Needless to say I am thrilled!!!!!

white blood count is 1.5
Since I have been running a fever that was 102 on Monday, doc thinks I am neutropeniac (sp?) and has prescribed neupogen as a rescue drug.

hbg  12.6 to 10.1 to 9.4
AST 128 to 64 to 57
ALT 172 to 111 to 78

Now I KNOW the drugs are working and I also know why I feel like *#^@!!!

I am so happy......I'm crying like a baby!!!!

Thanks everyone for hanging with me!!!!

Oh you all make me so happy!!!  You are truly a bright spot on this tough road we travel.  I am so thankful for all the words of encouragement and happy to hear your stories about your successes and your struggles.  The good results do, however, make all the horrible sx worthwhile.  To continued good health.....cheers!

Steamline569, platelets are at 75.  I am getting neupogen for WBC and will inquire about procrit as some of you have suggested.  Thanks.

that's great news!!!  it gives me hope for myself (and others, of course)... I start triple threat tx in about 3 weeks -- my doctor is away, and i didn't want to start while he was out of town.  i keep reading this site and making notes for the suggestions for the different side effects, none of which i'm looking forward to, by the way...

good luck to you!  and i'll be posting my own progress soon enough... :)

Congratulations. Do you know your platelet count and yes working dog is right. Try and find out why he's not put you on procrit. My doctor put me on when my 4 week hgb was 10.8....

ANC is 630 so I think doc has an eye on that.  I appreciate that she is recommending not to reduce riba dosage but rather to start rescue drugs.  I love that she is willing to be aggressive.

Thanks to you and everyone else for all of the kind words and incredible support.  It is nice to know you all are here for the ups and the downs!

Awesome, simply awesome new!  Congrats.  Time for more party hats and dancing shoes.

Keep an eye on the absolute neutrophic count (ANC) with the low wbc.  Sounds like your doc has that on his radar, so kudos to your doc.  Same for the Hgb.

Nice to have some happy tears celebrate the moment. Keep up the good work.
