Thanx to my fellow warriors. This site really helped fill in the gaps when I started treating. It seems no matter how prepared one thinks they are, there are lots of details to this triple therapy. Just as in life, people need people. I am glad to have met people like you.
With a warm heart, I say cheers to all of you! Keep up the good fight.
@ceanthus, you're right. The results are in, and yet the lightbulb is a bit delayed.

Wahooooo! So very happy for you. Congratulations Dragon Slayer !
Wow isn't that a wonderful feeling. It's amazing how good it feels to get ride of Hepatitis C.
Best To You
Yay, hooray and congratulations! It's a really big chunk of good news and if you are like me, you've probably been afraid to let your hopes get too high. In that case don't be surprised if it takes a long time to sink in. For me it took a whole week to mostly sink in and I'm not sure it is quite all the way there even now, and its been about 5 weeks since I got the good news! It's nice to have it sink in slowly, as it lets you really savor that pleasure a longer time.
Congratulations! Good work.
It's morning and it's starting to sink in that, I have, indeed reached SVR. I will post more about that tonight, on the social side. Getting ready for work so thanx so much for responding. I love you all!!!!!!!!

CONGRATS! Enjoy your HEP free life.
Yeah!!!!!! Wooohooooo!!!!! And a big congrats! SVR land is all yours.
Too bad these test aren't all standardized to read "Undetected" to avoid any confusion in interpretation. If it didn't indicate "Detected" and just lists < 5 IU/mL, then that means UND.
From my recollection, as you noted, the Heptimax test is a 2 part rollover test. The first RT-PCR is able to quantify down to 43 IU/ml as you mentioned, but is able to detect down to ~ 7 IU/ml. If not detected it goes to the next part, the more sensitive TMA test. The limit of detection and quantification of the TMA test is 5 IU/mL. If your results were < 5 IU/ml, then you're Undetected and good to go. And if your PA tells you at a future visit that you have antibodies to HCV and need further testing, don't get excited since that is normal. ;-)~
Relax and enjoy the moment. Very happy for you.
Hey swimmer, congrats, <5 IU/ml on the heptimax means UND and that you are SVR, wishing you all the best with your hep c free life
Have a great day

WOW wonderful!!
Declare Your Victory!
Sounds like SVR. Congratulations!
Glad you resolved this.
The Heptimax is a frequent and often heart stopping topic since it seems to just indicate your VL is below the reference interval without saying the words.
Congrats by the way!
Okay, I found an old post that describes the 2 part aspect of the heptimax. So because I was UND down to 43 IU they run the more sensitive test down to 5 IU.
Ya think I would have looked this up a long time ago. When I didn't see the words UND my heart raced and my stomach did a few flips.
My doctor hasn't even seen this report as I got it online this evening ( been checking all day, today).
