Before I forget, thank you all for your replies
Thanks for the reply, In all my treatments I responded quite well undetectable at week 4, week 12, but as you can see relpased again. This time round I had an idea that it was back at some point as there was a spike in alt and ast towards the back end of the treatment.I do know this can happen and mean nothing but in this case I was right. This is just a line from my clinical report.
Hepatis C PCR: POSITIVE 2.2X10*5 iu/mL
Thank you praying you are right . I wasn't in a study did my treatment in Louisville Ky. with a Dr there who does nothing but treat Hip. Treatment was very exp. meds were ver high as we all know. Just wish everyone going through this treatment would get good reports.
God bless all

I agree with ActingBrandNew - you'll be fine. Heck, the 12 week tests after treatment are between 98 and 99% accurate (depending on which study you read).

You should be fine. Officially your SVR since your UND 6 months post TX.
I was G3 i treated from Jan to end of Jun 2012 was UND at week 4 that was first time they did the Viral load after I started treatment. I stayed UND all the 24 weeks that took me through month of June 2012. At the end of July I went back was UND then in Dec 2012 I was checked again was UND I go back in May this year 2013 for another check up. Gosh I am scared to death now after reading this.
Good luck to all of you and praying you get help soon.

I'm a G3 and the more I read about it.....man. Anyways, I'm sorry you relapsed again. I cant imagine doing TX 3 times. I'm on week 22 right now and its been extremely hard. I wish I had some info on any new drugs in the pipeline for a G3 that's having some success because Can-Do-Man posted an article last night about Gilead s Sofosbuvir but it doesn't sound so good for a G3. I'm not sure if the mix of Sofosbuvir and Bristol-Myers Squibb's Daclatasvir 100% cure rate applies to G3's.....anybody know?
Im Gen 3 also...relapsed at 6 mos post tx...and i too thought it was one of the easier to "cure"....
Dont underrstand how they classify it as being from Australia either
Geno 3 is so easy to treat that I did it twice.
I am very sorry to hear that you have relapsed again. I know this must be devastating, especially because this is your third relapse.
I know you treated with Pegintron peginterferon alfa-2b injections and were on 1200mg Rebetol daily. I am wondering what type of response you had to the treatment. Obviously you became UND at some point, but how was your overall response in terms of log drop and timing.
I know you posted before that you are Stage 3 bordering on Stage 4. Hopefully treatment gave your liver a break. I am assuming you treated 48 weeks?
Hopefully someone with more knowledge of any new treatments for Genotype 3 will see your post and offer some information. I know there are some trials going on but I don't know all of the details.
Again, I am very sorry that this did not work for you this time.
