Is Viagra harmful to the liver?

Does anybody know if Viagra or one of the similar products is harmful to a damaged hep c liver?I went looking for info online and came upon this guy named Lloyd Wright who wrote a book on Hep C who said that studies showed that Viagra increases your viral load. Now he is not a doctor so I wondered if anybody has posed this question to their doctor.

Viagra has some side effects, including hepatotoxicity, acute liver injury. It seems not useful for liver, damaged by HCV. See http://livertox.nih.gov/Sildenafil.htm

Hepatic Impairment

In volunteers with hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh Class A and B), sildenafil clearance was reduced, resulting in higher plasma exposure of sildenafil (47% for Cmax and 85% for AUC). The pharmacokinetics of sildenafil in patients with severely impaired hepatic function (Child-Pugh Class C) have not been studied. A starting dose of 25 mg should be considered in patients with any degree of hepatic impairment [see Dosage and Administration (2.5) and Clinical Pharmacology (12.3)].

Lloyd Wright is a quack who profits off of other people's misery, with absolutely no chance of curing them

I have no idea bit Mr. Wright has been extremely controversial for many years. Ask your doc or your pharmacist.
