I read the above article, while helpful it needs to mention people who were given gama globulin injections before the 90's. A gama globulin injection is a mixture of more than one persons blood. Many Vitenam Vets have it from these inoculations and for other reasons. The CDC states that up to 1 in 4 people with HCV don't know they have it yet.
Also one can get it from sharing a straw to snort drugs. The blood would have been microscopic.
In addition, sharing toothbrushes, razors with someone infected is not a good idea, again microscopic blood.
