Hello, congratulations for getting approved for S&O.
I agree with above, we are all different, reactions are different; they are being cautious and looking out for you. Some people are very sensitive to the sun on this, others aren't. I found some people sharing their experiences about the new t, S&O. I thought you might be interested in information, Good luck

The drop in red blood count usually occurs with Ribavirin, not what you are taking. No worries! They just want to keep up to date on all blood counts, so you needn't be concerned with the S and O. Precautionary at best on their part.
Take care

Hi Fred
They did blood work for me at weeks 1, 2, 4, 8, & 12 they just want to make sure the meds are not having any bad effects on you.
They tested my liver functions and and did a CBC (complete blood count). That is pretty much standard when being treated. They are just taking care of you.
The only thing that I noticed on my tests was my liver functions went into nornal range in the first week of treatment for the first time in 25 years since I knew I had hep c.
The nurse may have been thinking of the other treatment with ribavirin. That can and often does affect red blod counts. But not so much Sovaldi Olysio
Good luck
Lynn
