Had a scan today things went good no tumors so far !! Always worries me about this cause im stage 4 cirrhosis

I was talking to my hospital crew today, and they told me just how large the waiting list for Tx at the new Liver Clinic at Brisbane is. Queensland has the most archaic health regulations etc in all Australia. If only things were different, we could be treating in Melbourne or Sydney, even Adelaide.
Nth Queensland have to send off to Brisbane for the HCV Pcr results. My iron has to show 2 high readings before they will allow any further tests for haemochromatosis etc.
We have to keep pushing and pushing for our right to be listened to. I won that today. And I feel good. I hope you can get a good team together. It cuts through the bull.

GREAT NEWS JPV1.......I have scan in 2 wks....hope I am as lucky as you too...scary being stage 4 isn't is...did you ever answer question of are you compensated or decompensated?
Thanks to all of you it feels great to have such support. and yes so far im compensated Heart of keys. I feel for ya bud I know thats hard to get the news your decompensated Im worried about that. And your right Asle its hard to get proper treatments here in N Queensland. Im seriously thinking of bring in a lawyer into this. Im not the sueing type but Ive had enough of the waiting and thanks to all of you I realize the cost for waiting. Im going to the top at Royal Brisbane Hospital ( admin.) and see if I can shake em up with the threat of a law suit. Ive found in the past sometimes with government health you have to play tough to get normal care. Ill keep you guys n girls posted. I was stage 2 when this all started and now stage 4 with out one pill to help so Im gonna raise some hell now lol.
