May have stepped on slightly wet blood on sidewalk outside movie theater...

If the blood had hep c in it, I was wondering if it could remain on my shoes after walking around for a while, and be tracked into my home. I hate that bugger of a virus because of it's durability, and know that unfortunately, I can't just buy any cleaners from a store to spray on my pant legs and shoes that would actually kill it. I also have a cat at home that obviously lies around on the floor, and I'm not gonna avoid petting her, nor do I wanna worry about touching my face or eyes after petting her. Thanks.

Hep c is not especially durable any more so than most viruses it only survives for a couple of weeks at most and only if left undisturbed.

If a blood spill is cleaned up by normal procedures, for example a 10% bleach solution, this will effectively remove hep c.

Are you sure it was blood? Was there a violent altercation outside the theater? Also only about 1% of the population has hep c so even if it was blood the odds are against it having the hep c virus.

You likely walked off most if not all of the blood if it was indeed blood. Wash your clothes in the washer as normal. Pet your cat as normal.

Thank you for your help, and no, I'm not 100% sure it was blood. I did ask the kid taking people's tickets after they walk in, figuring he if anybody would've seen it, since it was right in front of him and happened within a 2 hour time frame. Unfortunately, he didn't notice anything, but they had someone in particular go and take a look at it, they determined it was more than likely blood. Perhaps I may have been less worried if I didn't walk closer to it to view it with my cellphone flashlight. It was a steak roughly a foot long, so it may have been some kid in shorts that tripped and skinned their knee, but with blood, I just never wanna assume. Plus, I'm still out and about before calling an Uber to take me home, and didn't wanna bleach my pants, throw away my shoes, lol. I have an awesome Simple Green cleaner in my car that is a virucide against hep c even, but unfortunately, have only seen it at Home Depot, and my car is in the shop. But good to hear, and sorry such a long response, my thoughts always seem shorter in my head, lol. I also wear these same shoes to a boxing/fight/fitness gym, so wanted to be conscientious towards the gym members, too. Appreciate the help.
Just wash your clothes as normal in a standard clothes washer with your normal soap will do the job. If you are inclined you can throw your shoes in if they are fabric. Or just wash by hand with good old soap and water and air dry.
No big deal
