i have the same itch problem; almost looks like hives, but they go away in an hour or so....itchy like crazy. feels like bee stings. they gave me a Rx ointment to help, and it does.
ask your doc for it.

it's called Clobetasol propionate ointment USP 0.05%, supplied in Olux 15 g, 30 g, 45 g, and 60 g tubes.

itching sux.

Use the lotion several times a day it will help. I used Gold Bond Medicated (green bottle red top) but there are others just make sure it is a nice thick one that doesn't easily rub off.

It should help quite a bit.

When I saw my doctor yesterday she was going over side effects with me and said the rash is one that can be troublesome. Hang in there, sounds like it will pass. I have not started yet so its good to read suggestions as what to do. An oatmeal bath sounds lovely, I love oatmeal...

that first wek of treatment l felt like the back of my neck had been burnt...Try to keep out of the sun.  The feeling only lasted a week.  Every week the sides have been different, but the first week was the scary one.  I do believe it will get better.  Am having the oatmeal baths everyday for dry skin (have bought some specially made for the bath).  Very relaxing too..

I would get swelling and redness around my eyes; so much so that it looked like I'd been punched in the face - twice.  I used Benadryl at night and Zyrtec during the day.  It seemed to come in waves with some weeks being worse than others and then it did lessen with time.

I did get some isolated hives/bumps that itched some the first few weeks, but it seems to have subsided at week 4.  I've never been one to use a lotion, but after noticing that my skin seemed drier than normal, I've been applying it daily which seems to be helping.  As you've certainly been told, drink lots of water, very important!
