Migraines

I went through 3 monthes of treatment. Had to stop be the depression was very bad. Now more than 8 monthes later I keep getting static migraines. First my vision gets sparkelly than about a half hour later my head explodes. I never had this problem before. Does anyone out suffer with this.
PS I'm sick of taking anykind of drugs. The only thing I took before all of this TX &%#$! was asprin. I'm now 50 and figure I made a mistake undergoing TX because my life was just great.

That's the secret....you have to eat them all...one at a time gives you bullets.  Now if you eat the corn then the watermelon then you eat the black frosting well you get a rainbow cannon....just watch for the splash....you may get a wet tushy if your not careful....I recomend a little lift as departure takes place....

At the risk of this turning into a poopy thread I need to point out that in my experience watermelon and corn turn into bullets. Never noticed the color.

If you eat cake with black frosting you get green poop for 2-3 days....it's almost pretty.  if you eat corn and watermelon then you get a rainbow effect.  Although I do caution you....when you see it you will think it is so pretty you will want to save it and show everyone.....

Just thought I'd put in my two cents, since I don't know about migraines.

SFbay, I've heard the same thing, menopause can bring on some serious migraines. By my understanding it's the mate who's afflicted.

wow, can you send down that neighbor of yours to come and give me massages every hour? Talk about your nice neighbors..whew! yeah, really migraines...seems you've gone down some roads I have as well, have you done, embrace the pain stuff? as masochistic as that sounds, it does help ease it...see if you can get those pads, they are not too expensive - you might like them, cause they really wrap to areas...

OK, you forgot smells like a fish, has scales like a fish, and poops deer turds....carries her @ss around in a wheelbarrow..did I mention I can write complete bible passages on my skin in hives this last couple of weeks....I really like the red rimmed eyes... kind goes with the 666 theme.... so how is goof these days?  And I don't want January, I'll take July and a bikini so I can scar the rugrats for life....

With visuals like that, I think fishdoc could put a few different 'fits on and pose for January and July. Those red eyes would look dandy in a snow scene in January.

I'm afraid I do mostly natural things for migraines, aroma therapy, then I take a really hot bath, guess if youre on treatment you can't take hot baths, but if youre not, try it...after the hot bath, I take a cold shower, I have that shower head beating right on my head and back and neck...,

then once I'm lying down, I do the same thing with these special pads I have, that you can put into the microwave and freeze, in the microwave you just put them in for 60 seconds and they get really warm, in the freezer for one hour...there great cause they keep the temperture for a long time...then I put the pads on my forehead, neck and eyes...I have little ones and big...

First I do hot, then cold...I swear, if I do this, with maybe an advil (I can only take a half, I'm very drug sensitive) I can cure most of the headaches I ever have...but yeah, if it's a real migraine, and i've had those, this stuff can only help a little maybe, and you have to wait it out...Also, I've said this before, a lot of headaches come from tention that you hold in your back and neck muscles...if you have a tranquilizer and/or muscle relaxer, thta could help a lot...plus help you sleep...

these packs are called Sens-Flex, they come in all kinds of sizes for eyes, back, head, whatever...you can order them online...they are really soft and pliable and they fit really well, and they hold temperture really well like I said, hot or cold...

Hey, when you hit fifty, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and my dogs, cats, pigeons, etc, think I am gods gift!!  So does hubby, but he can't see for Sh!t these days!!  So, am I wrong, or are you coming up on the big 24 soon??  Seems I can't keep track of mine, have to count boxes every week... but I was thinking your 6 weeks ahead of me....

I have tried many things, natural and BIG drugs. They don't give enough big drugs and they are a pain in the neck to get. I had to be non stop heaving in pain to head for the er. I went to a support group for migraines. I learned some good natural things that helped alot. At least they take the edge off a bit.

One thing was the hot bath, not full and hold ice in your hands and sometimes I would put an ice pack on my head. Very relaxing and relieved some pain. I tried accupunture, herbs, cupping etc. Pulling the hair on my head would sometimes help a bit. Trigger points...

The thing that always helped, besides drugs, was a massage every hour or so, my neighbor would come and rub my neck and back, ice packs on my neck and head at first, then a heating pad with a wet washcloth on it. This really helped relax me. The pain was always there, but these tricks did allievate my suffering.

Woaaa... I am glad I am through menopause. Now I just have to deal with Cluster migraines! and tx headaches of course.

Yup, grape juice works great on the mouth sores, cleared mine right up, along with centrum performance.  I think some of us old timers just don't have the energy to get through all the new threads.... I am on week 18, 7 riba a day, and I read maybe one thread a day, on a good day......I actually emailed canman today and commiserated, I think he should be getting close to the 24 week mark, ....and I gave up on the stretch marks... just poke em, its the midline that hurts...

I have tried the imagining the pain dripping through a hole in my head...

My neighbor (my 77yo friend) will still come out if I need him. When I was flat on my ass from the anemia and john was gone he stayed with me for 3 days. He is such a great guy. He would cook for the kids and give me massages for years. My kids, now that they are grown, still go to his house, not MINE, for his cooking. Good ol' southern cooking.  He made Gumbo a few weeks ago.

I don't know how I could have made it without him the 30 years we have been friends.

I will check out those pads. Since tx, my headaches are bad, but not like they used to be!

There are SO MANY reasons, (many pyschological, like mine)
Stress kills,......and my personal journey has shown me that if I dont talk about things that really hurt, I will pay big time!!

How you doing, did they up your riba , or what was regimen they gave you? have you heard from can do sure do miss him....everytime i have to give my shot on fri i always remember your post about do not hit strechey things and about do not give the shot in the hard part of the stomach after having 4 pregnancys 1 was a twin birth  its hard to find aplace with noo strechey things......at least it lightins up a tuff job....
