NO INSURANCE

I HAVEN'T BEEN ON THIS SITE FOR A WHILE. I KNOW I HAVE ASKED YOU GUYS BEFORE THIS SAME QUESTION. I AM GETTING READY TO TAKE MY GED TEST(SOOOO NERVOUS) BUT I AM GOING TO BE STARTING MY TREATMENT SOON WHEN IM DONE. I DONT HAVE ANY INSURANCE SO I CAN'T START ANYTHING UNTIL I HAVE SOMETHING. I WAS WONDERING WHAT WEBSITES TO GO TO FOR THAT KIND OF STUFF?

I AM REALLY UPSET ABOUT THIS WHOLE SITUATION AND NO INSURANCE. I HAVE KNOWN SINCE AUGUST OF 2006 THAT I HAVE HAD THIS, AND I WANT TO GET IT TAKEN CARE OF BEFORE IT GETS WORSE. WELL, MY MOM STILL HAS DONE NOTHING FOR INSURANCE FOR ME...AND I GUESS I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND. IS SHE IN DENIAL ABOUT THIS? HAS ANYBODY ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM EVER BEFORE? THIS IS VERY DISCOURAGING TO ME, AND I FEEL LIKE SHE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THAT HER DAUGHTER IS SICK. CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME=(

Have you googled hepatitis c studies and trials to see if there are any free things in your area that you qualify for? Have you gone to department of social & health and asked questions yourself? They can help with many things, even pointing you in the right direction.

I agree with the above comments by needrelief. But it sounds like you're making big moves by yourself to improve your life and become less dependent on your mom. Sometimes people can be disappointing..I'm sure she cares in her own way. It sounds to me that you are young. Hep C is usually a slow moving disease which means you may have many years before your health is effected. Try not to worry until you've met your other goals. I hope you'll stay around here because it sounds like you could use the support this board can provide. Good luck on your GED and don't worry about the insurance stuff.I'm sure you'll get the help you need.Let me know how your tests turn out and then think about health care options. First of all, Congratulations on studying for your GED.

I'm sure you'll pass with flying colors.

That's such an important step to take and I'm proud of you even though i don't know you.

You are young, and i can't imagine the virus could have progressed much, yet.

It's wonderful that you're looking for solutions yourself.  I just know you'll find a way.

If you can't google any help sites, check back and I'm sure someone will post some links for you.

I probably won't be on again until tomorrow so I'll look for you then.

PS - i don't have the links at my fingertips otherwise I'd post them myself.
