Name calling

It's always quiet on the weekends so thought this might be kinda light and fun. Cornsqueezer got me thinking.........how did everyone decide their nicknames?

My husband tried tx for 3 months and during that time I did my best to pamper him. When he was taken off and it was my turn, he said, "Well, darlin', it's your turn to be pampered so you can just relax for the next 6 months and be a Couchpotato." I had great visions of lying around on the couch all day, watching soaps and eating bon-bons! What a misnomer that would become!!!

Anyway, have a side free weekend, and if not, be a Couchpotato!

Hey all,I'm Debra's S.O. It's my fault she uses that name.
I was going to ask a question and signed in useing my old C.B. handle. When I was younger A looooong time ago, I came up with something unique thinking about moonshine and how it was made. Because no one else uses the name I thought it would work for a screen name on-line.Once I signed in we did not know how to change it. Maybe I should  have put Mrscornsqueezer, or better yet let her think of something else.
Best wishes to all!!!!       Larry

never got into a forum before. when I used to chat some years ago I used to be "trillian" - after the hitch hiker's guide to the galaxy. this time I probably needed to tell about myself immediately, so no fantasy at all was involved, excuse me.

chev I loved your story...  when I was a little child I was crazy for chevrolet impala, I was now figuring that romance with a turquoise/blue one... aaaaahhh ...!   a

well, our beautiful companion ferret 's name was Belle,,,,and out of playfulness we kept telling her how cute she was...then we modified it jokingly to match the roadrunner/coyote cartoon where they "latinize" names in parenthesis...so cuteusbelleus was born...and out of laziness it got shortened...

debbie; I hope you heard from her...she now posts at lou's...she was just there this weekend..and seems ok.
take care.

Hey Rev.....

I find it hard to believe that such a tolerant, well opinionated, good spirited & not to mention POLITICALLY NEUTRAL (Swiss-made) person like yourself geting booted off web sites.
I can't believe they don't embrace you with open arms.....LOL for that's truly immoral.

Of course I'm just joking with you so pls don't get into a post Riba rage!

Happy & Healthy New Year to you & your family,

Ben

No relation to the S & M transgender pornographer Pat Califia, honest.  (I know you were all worried about that.)   When I first found the board, there seemed to be lots of regional tags, so I followed suit.  Califia was an Amazon queen who presided over a mythological island, the heroine of the most popular romance in Cervantes' Spain.  The Spanish named the west coast after her, thinking they had discovered her Amazon island--or so the speculation goes.   So....here I am on  the strange, enchanted island of treatment...trying to recover my fabled Amazon powers.

Revanants=Zombies?
And Hep Guy, you really ought to go by your full name.   It's wicked good.

Docsgold is part of my horse's registered name, and easy for me to remember.  I never thought about it looking as though I might be a doc (nope) or having a lot of gold (nope) or giving all my gold to the doc (yup) as I have been asked by some.

I came to the new York in 1980 at the age of 24 from England and stayed..  It's now 50/50 for me as I hold dual citizenship and  while I still identify very strongly with England, I live here so I put the Amera first; seemed the right thing to do somehow:).

Like Ambush, I was surprised when asked for a username.  Being a Forum Virgin, I had never thought about it.   I felt pressured to come up with something quick, and my mind raced with all of the nick names I had been given through out my life............."Showboat"....this was one of the better ones...LOL......given to me by a dude I once knew..........he said because I had exciting energy and I brought that fun and exciting energy where ever I went....was upbeat.....I kind of liked the positive memories this name generates for me.
(AHHHHHHHHH,,,,"Sweet Youth"    :>)
