Not sure about what the doc means about LOGS

Doc said he was looking for 2 log change in 12 weeks in viral count.  What does that mean?

thank you for your support, ambush, I really appreciate it!
candlelight was not a prob, in fact the shot went very smoothly even though this was my first time ever.
I'd take tylenol, but I try to avoid unnecessary drugs as long as it's tolerable. I can't say I'm great at the moment, but this is the price to pay to eliminate the dragon. If the pain doesn't go away, I take it...

Hi.  Well, #1 down........good to get that first one over with.  Nervewracking enough, but in candlelight, besides?  I had the "chills" thing only on the first shot for a short time.  Much better after that.  Do you take a couple of extra strength tylenol an hour before your shot?  My doc told me to and I think it helps.  Check with him/her on that one if you aren't.   I still get the unsettled thing when I go to bed most nights.  My legs twitch and can't stay in one position for too long and I wake up often (usually to go to the bathroom and drink more water).  It's hard to sleep with all those little HEP/SOB's screaming as they die.  Keep drinking the water!  Hopefully #2 will be easier.

indeed, I did my first shot by candlelight.
At first, I was Ok, no sympthoms and feeling good. I went to bed and after 4 hours since my shot I woke up... My heart was racing ( I counted 120 beats/min ), I felt cold and couldn't stay in one position longer then 10min. I put on everything I could find at hand - sweater, winter pants, even extra blanket. I remember somebody on this forum did this too... it actually helped me! I fell asleep for a couple of hours.
Now I have headache, my body temp is 37.7 and there is this strange feeling I have new body. I drink lots of water, it really works. Hopefully next shot will be much easier...

Hi ppl
I didn't want to start new thread... so posting in here:)
Today is my first day on tx. I already took 3 pills of Riba and will do injection (Pegasys) later in the evening.
As I posted earlier, I'm type 1b, VL 724K UI/ml, AST 40 (norm), ALT 54, HGB 15. Hope it will work for me:)
Is somebody else starting tx this week? Anyone?

A 2 log drop = 1/100th of your starting viral load. Eg... starting viral load is 2,000,000. A two log drop is 2,000,000 divided by 100 = 20,000. I just knock off two zeros to get the 2 log drop. Make sense? I hope so. There's a thread below that addresses this question. Mike
