Only Harvoni is now being offered to treatment-naive patients?

Hi, everyone!!  It's been forever since I checked in.  I hope everyone who congratulated me is also well!!!  I have 2 or 3 things I want to say after I say again I could never have made this journey alone!!  We are the best!!!

1) My doctor said the virus cannot come back, and anyone who says it has has been re-infected.  Interesting.  My last visit he didn't even do labs and formally discharged me as a patient.
2) What do you guys think of the new TV commercials advertising Harvoni and no further mention of sofosbuvir/simeprevir?  Is everyone still getting well?
3) Has anyone seen the new Clorox/Lysol commercials with the kids trying to pronounce Hepatitis C as Clorox brags their new spray-on product can kill the flu bug, HIV and HCV?  I am FURIOUS!!  I'm in a Twitter war with Clorox right now telling them they are lying and their info is factually inaccurate.  If anyone is on Twitter, let them have it!!

Hey Chris, great to see you.  Thanks for the information.  I have not seen the commercial.  Is it showing on the regular channels? Or cable?
I'm not sure how this will nest in new format so tried to put you name in both places.
Hello to everyone else.  I will be happy to tell Clorox they should not lump us in with flu or HIV, disgusting

Harvoni is now approved for GT 1,4,5 and 6 as of 11/2015

People are still treating with different treatments based on what their insurance approves. I know someone who was just turned down by his insurance for Harvoni but they will approve him for Viekira Pak

Have not seen that commercial. But the CDC in their Hepatitis C FAQ for the public FAQ  recommends:

How should blood spills be cleaned from surfaces to make sure that Hepatitis C virus is gone?

Any blood spills — including dried blood, which can still be infectious — should be cleaned using a dilution of one part household bleach to 10 parts water. Gloves should be worn when cleaning up blood spills

This commercial is talking about ordinary sneeze-type germs.  To lump that in with HCV is so disrespectful and contributes to the hysteria about and discrimination against people who have HCV.  It mentions HIV in the same sentence, but since that's not our issue, or mine at least, I didn't bring that up.  Clorox maintains their ad is factually accurate.

Isn't Harvoni only for genotype 1A still? A friend of mine just finished Harvoni and Ribavirin. He was treatment naive too. Haven't heard the Clorox commercial yet, will keep my eyes open for it.
